Part 39

Liam POV

I take a few steps further from the door and the person standing in the doorway.

 What the hell is Hayden doing here? How did she even get here in the first place!? 

"Hayden, what the hell are you doing here?" 

Newt looks between us confused, "You know her?"

 Hayden turns towards him and she puts on a smile. I'm his...?" She turns back to look at me, waiting for me to finish the sentence. 

"Ex-girlfriend."

 She rolls her eyes at my answer and turns back to Newt. "He broke up with me over the phone, pretty shitty right?"

 Newt nods but when he looks at me again he raises an eyebrow, waiting for me to go on.

 "We hadn't talked in months I thought it was obvious we broke up but apparently not," I say the last bit under my breath. 

"So, Hayden is it? What are you doing here?" Hayden takes a few steps further into the room. "I'm helping out the pack, you know since I am a part of the pack."

  Scott's going to love this. First Isaac shows up and now Hayden? 

"Hayden you can't come with us! There's no room in the vehicles and you don't even know why we're out here!" Hayden shrugs, "I saw Theo's truck outside and I know there's enough room in that. But anyways I brought my own car, how'd you think I got here?" 

She pauses for a moment as if gathering her thoughts. "Besides, I'm sure someone could fill me in on this secret mission." She says that while looking at Newt.

 "Sorry, I'm actually in a different car than you so someone else would have to fill you in." Hayden rolls her eyes, "Sure."

 She holds her hand out to Newt. "I just realized I actually have no idea what your name is." She gives him what looks to be another flirtatious smile and Newt looks at me and even though he doesn't talk I can see what he's thinking on his face. 

Is this girl serious? 

He shakes her hand, "I'm Newt."

 "That's a strange name." 

Newt rolls his eyes. "My boyfriend likes it."

 I watch Hayden freeze, "Boyfriend?" 

Newt takes his hand back and nods. "Yep, my boyfriend Tommy."

 She turns to me and glares at me like I was supposed to tell her he was gay. 

"So where is this Tommy?" 

"First off, only I call him Tommy, you can call him Thomas and second he's the whole reason we're out here, we're looking for him."

 And Theo...

 Hayden sits down on one of the beds. "So what? We're all out here because lover boy ran away? Damn, I thought this was going to be a fun mission."

 Newt looks taken back and he looks at me with both his eyebrows raised. "If it's not interesting enough you can always bloody leave." There's a hint of anger in his voice when he talks. 

Hayden crosses her arms and leans back on the bed. "I'm already here, may as well stay."

 Newt shakes his head and walks towards the door. Hayden grabs his arm before he can walk away, causing him to stop. 

He looks down at where she's holding onto his arm and then back at her. "Don't touch me." Hayden doesn't let go, "Where are you even going?" 

Newt snatches his arm back, "I'm going to check on Aris and make sure we're ready to leave." Hayden groans, "Leave? But I just got here. Give me like 6 hours of sleep and then we can go."
