Back in Beacon Hills

"Still no luck tracking her down?" The sheriff looks up from his work to see Derek leaning against his office's door frame. He sighs and shakes his head, he stares down at the file open in front of him. He's still waiting for the court to approve the warrant he needs to see the security footage and until then there's not much else he can do. There's no evidence, no nothing, aside from his number one suspect turning up dead. "No."

Derek walked further into the room and took a seat across from the sheriff. "What about from Agent McCall's body? Did that give you anything?" The sheriff shakes his head. "Nothing about where Melissa McCall is, but something about the crime scene just feels...I'm not sure but it feels off." Derek looks at the sheriff confused, "Off?" The sheriff sighs, "I don't know it's just a feeling, I knew Rafael and he was a dick but he'd never hurt Melissa."

Derek leans forward, "People can just snap sheriff."  "I know that but it just doesn't seem right, I'm sure looking back at his suicide note would be able to help but the FBI  have already taken over the crime scene and confiscated all the evidence. Including his note." Derek frowns, "Wouldn't they let you have the note since it's part of an ongoing investigation?" The sheriff begins moving some of his folders to the side in an attempt to make more room on his desk. "That's the thing, his death has already been ruled a suicide and the case has been closed. They have no reason for them to let me look at the note." Derek stands up, "I'll get it." Sheriff Stilinski opens his mouth to argue but Derek's already leaving his office.

Noah sighs and decides to just let Derek go. He grabs a few files and shoves them into his workbag, he was supposed to go home at 8pm and it's now almost 9pm. He already knows that he won't be able to sleep tonight, the house is too empty, too still. It's been that way ever since Stiles was kidnapped. It took him weeks just to open Stiles door and it took him another week to be able to set foot into his room. And just when he got him back, he was taken again.

He looked at the photo on his desk, Stiles is sitting on top of his jeep eating a burger. He hadn't even known that Noah had taken the photo. He looked so happy in that photo, it was before everything went wrong, before he was possessed and before Scott chose to believe that Raeken kid over him. Before that the house was almost never quiet, he could always hear Stiles mumbling to himself or talking to one of his friends. Now it's just too quiet all the time and that makes it impossible for the sheriff to get a good nights rest.

Noah tears his eyes away from the photo and stands up from his desk. He switches off his desk light and makes his way to the door of his office. He can see a few deputies sitting at their desks, one of those deputies is Parrish.

He had told Parrish everything a couple days ago, he had kept asking questions about where everyone had disappeared too and the sheriff didn't think there would be any harm in telling him. Now at least him and Derek had another pair of eyes on the lookout for anything weird that could possibly be related to WICKED. They definitely needed the extra help after Derek realized that Isaac had snuck off with the others.

He quickly turned his main office light off and began making his way towards the the front desk. "Hey DeeDee, I'm heading out now. I'll see you tomorrow." DeeDee waved at him, "Bye Sheriff see you tomorrow!" DeeDee had only been working for them for a couple of days but everyone at the station was already fond of her. She was always in a cheerful mood and brought coffee to the cops who were working late.

Their last receptionist had sent in an email saying she was moving back home to Toronto to take care of her sick mom and that she wasn't coming back to Beacon Hills. They were lucky to find DeeDee when they did, otherwise he would have had to sit through a bunch of interviews to try and find Kelly's replacement.
