Chapter 25: Take Us Back

October 10th, 2020

It was the seventh inning the score was 6-5 and we were losing. I was on deck as one of my teammates was at bat when I saw Y/N sit down on the bleachers. He had a sweaty face and wet hair that was filled with sweat. My teammate struck out making us have two outs and one girl on base. I walked up to the batter's box and got set. The pitcher then threw a curveball. I swung and ended up missing. I then heard Y/N supporting me from the stands making me feel happy. The pitcher threw a fastball which I crushed and it ended out of the field. I started to run around the bases and landed on the home plate making us win the game. My team came out of the dugout to congratulate me near home plate. I then grabbed everything I had after our coaches gave us a speech about the game. I walked out of the dugout and walked to Y/N and he hugged me.

Y/N-" Good job."

Clem-" Thank you." I said backing out the hug. " You smell by the way."

Y/N-" Oh I know." He said laughing.

Clem-" Did your practice just end?"

Y/N-" Yeah. I guess I made it in a perfect time."

Clem-" Yeah. You got to see me win the game."

Y/N-" So do you want to celebrate?"

Clem-" Celebrate?"

Y/N-" Yeah. You just won the game! I gotta treat you to something."

Clem-" Ok fine. Since you insisted we'll go celebrate."

Y/N-" Alright!" He said wrapping his arm around my back.

We walked in his car and he put deodorant on and drove out of the parking lot.

Clem-" Can I have some?"

Y/N-" You smell just fine."

Clem-" I'd rather smell like Old Spice than how I smell now."

Y/N-" Fine." He said passing me the deodorant.

Clem-" So where are you taking me?"

Y/N-" To get some ice cream."

Clem-" Oh thank you."

Y/N-" You're welcome."

Clem-" Do you think you can stay the night?"

Y/N-" Probably. I just need to take a shower."

Clem-" Well you can take a shower at my house. I still have some of your clothes from your last visit."

Y/N-" It's almost like I live there."

Clem-" Well AJ really likes you so maybe we should consider it."

Y/N-" It's almost been two months. As much as I would love to live with you, your parents probably want to know me more."

Clem-" Good point. Maybe next year."

Y/N-" Well hopefully eventually." He said parking.

{Timeskip to my house}

Y/N parked in the street and I unlocked the door and walked in as Y/N was carrying my Softball bag.

Carley-" Hi Clementine. How was your game." She said from the kitchen.

Clem-" It was good we won."

My mom then walked out of the kitchen and saw Y/N.

Carley-" Oh Y/N. I didn't know you were coming today."

Clem-" I should've texted you I'm sorry mom."

Carley-" No, it's okay hun. Y/N is always welcomed here."
