Ch. 21: Grand Magic Games Day 1 PART I

[Sting's Pov]

After the Wall Climbing Race, the team went back to the inn to rest. Instead of resting, I walked around the town. Hoping I could catch her scent. Hoping I could see her.

"Tsk! Watch where you're going, Tiger!" a man wearing an ogre mask snapped as I hit him.

"Tch."

Oh yeah. Participants aren't allowed to take off their masks outside their inn. We're required to wear our guild masks until the tournament ends.

"Nami! Wait! I'm sorry!" my ears perked up upon hearing that familiar name. I looked at the area where I heard it and found two mages wearing wolf masks.

Gallant Wolves...

"Sht, Ryuki! I hate you!" the white-haired girl - who I think is Naminami Kononoko - was crying while the guy she called Ryuki was trying hard to stop her.

"I'm sorry, alright?"

"Damn you! Let me go!"

I would've ignored this if they were different people. But they're part of Gallant Wolves and they're friends with Lucy.

"Nami, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

"Nami? Ryuki?" Lucy called. I know it's her.

Her scent. Her hair. Her posture. Her voice. I know it's her. Even if she's wearing a wolf mask and a cloak, I really know it's her.

"L-Lucy-nee!" Kononoko hid behind her. "Help me."

"What's going on?" she asked, confused.

"Ryuki... H-He... He.." Both Kononoko and Hayazaki's face turned red.

"Why are you spying on them, Tiger?" I almost jumped when someone spoke behind me.

It was the black haired guy who I believe is AZ. He's with the other Hayazaki.

"None of your business." I stated and walked past them.

"You're Sting, right? She told me a lot about you." I stopped after hearing the female Hayazaki's words but proceeded to walk again.

[Lucy's PoV]

"Good Morning, citizens of Fiore! Welcome to Day One of the Grand Magic Games, wani~!" the same crocodile mascot yelled.But this time, it wasn't a hologram. It was a little man wearing the mascot and it stood in the middle of the arena.

"Now let us all welcome, the eight teams who made it! Wani~!" the crowd roared in excitement after what the mascot said.

"Starting from the eigth placer, the guild who constantly made it last every games, Quatro Cerberus!"

I didn't bother listening to him anymore. I just looked at the charts while waiting for him to announce two guild names.

"Woah! Mermaid Heel is 7th while Blue Pegasus is 6th?" I heared Ryuki say so I looked at the chart again.

4th Lamia Scale
5th Piggy Punch [A/N: I made this up randomly. Lol xD]
6th Blue Pegasus
7th Mermaid Heel
8th Quatro Cerberus

"For the third placer, the guild who has won the tournament in a row..." Wani started. ".. Fairy Tail!" deafining cheers echoed throughout the arena.

And I saw them again. My nightmare.

"Are you okay?" Ryouka placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. She knows everything. Even about him.

"Y-Yeah... Why wouldn't I be? I'm ready for this." I stated determined.

Ryouka beamed a smile and nodded. "That's the spirit! It's our turn!"

"And this is surprising! A guild that has not joined any of the games before made it to second!" Wani said in amusement. The crowd became quiet.

"Cool! But I bet they'll lose anyway!"

"Sabertooth will wipe their asses out."

"I'd like to see new and cool magics!"

Those were just ones of the murmurs in the arena.

"... Gallant Wolves!" at the mention of our guild name, we stepped out wearing our wolf masks and cloaks. It was awfully quiet but I didn't care.

"Uh... And now the guild who rivals Fairy Tail, Sabertooth!" Wani announced, changing the atmoshpere.

Then they stepped in. I immidiately saw him even if he's wearing a tiger mask.

My knees weakend upon seeing him. That moment, I wanted to run to him and hug him.

I miss him so much.

"Stay strong, Lucy-nee." Ryouka whispered and I nodded.

"Introducing the participants this year," Wani started.

"From Quatro Cerberus," I didn't bother listening anymore until he mentioned the names that used to be special to me.

"..Natsu Dragneel, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, Mirajane Strauss, and Levy McGarden!"

It made me remember memories that I buried long ago. Happy and Sad memories.

I felt a small and warm body envelop me with a hug. "It's alright, Lucy-nee... Shh... Just let it all out." Ryouka whispered.

"From Gallant Wolves, Ryuki Hayazaki, Ryouka Hayazaki, Naminami Kononoko, AZ, and Hikari Kokoroyujo!" he announced. That's right. I listed my name as Hikari Kokoroyujo.

"From Sabertooth, Orga Nanaeger, Rufus Lore, Yukino Aguria, Rogue Cheney, and Sting Eucliffe!"

At the last name, more tears fell.

I miss him so damn much.

[Sting's PoV]

"Hikari Kokoroyujo?" I questioned myself.

"That's Lucy, right?" Wendy asked.

"Yeah. But why that name?"

She smiled. "Because it means..."

A/N: Who could tell why she named herself Hikari Kokoroyujo? :) I will follow those who gets the right answer! :)

And, there will be another update! ^^ That will be the Part II where the games for Day 1 will take place. :) ^^
