Celestial Wolf-Slayer [Fairy Tail FF]

Ch. 26: Welcome Back, Goodbye, Hello Part I

[Lucy's PoV]

"Ugh. My body hurts!" I groaned, clutching on my arm as I sat up from my infirmary bed. Sting was sleeping on the left bed while Natsu on the right. We were treated in one infirmary room since the others were practically destroyed for unknown reasons.

The fight has just ended and Sabertooth is the current highest score. Sting had the most damage. He protected me althroughout the battle so I must thank him.

My heart raced faster just at the thought of him. Am I ready to love him? Am I ready to risk the consequence?

Sting did everything for me. He loves me. I guess he deserves to be love by me too. I glanced at his side and found him sleeping soundly on his bed. I made my way to his place and held his hand.

Sting's eyes fluttered open and he immediately smiled. "Hey Lucy..." he greeted.

I smiled back and sat on his bed but he pulled me towards him, causing me to lie on the bed next to him.

I felt Sting's arm wrap around my waist as he pulled me closer to him.

"I hope we could stay like this forever." he mumbled as he kissed my forehead. A kiss given to important people...

"You sound cheesy. So unlike you." I teased as I pinched his nose.

"I'm willing to be cheesy and even sound gay for you."

"A-Ahem!" the cough caught our attention, we turned our gaze to the person.

"E-Erza...?"

She looked longing and sad. Erza smiled sadly as she made her way towards us. Gray, Levy, and Master following from behind her.

I sat up and so did Sting.

"Lu-chan!" I flinched as Levy tackled me with a hug. I pushed her away and looked at them coldly.

"What do you want?" I asked, an icy tone on my voice.

"L-Lu-chan... We're sorry."

"And?"

"Please forgive us. We didn't mean to--"

"You didn't mean to kill me?" I scowled as I stared at them. Just then, the door opened revealing Wendy with the Gallant Wolves.

"Lucy-san, I have something important to tell you."

I nodded and gestured her to sit on my bed so we would face each other.

"I'm sorry for not telling you this before. It's just that you had a wonderful life already and I didn't want to ruin it by bringing back the past." she started. I didn't speak, nor did anyone else and urged her to continue.

"Four years ago, we found out that you we're cursed... And so me and Master came to talk to the Celestial King.
"How was she even cursed?! Lucy-san is the kind person!"
"The curse does not choose a person, old friend. But I must warn you, the Celestial Curse could kill your Lucy."
"WHAT?!! I-Is there any way to cure her?"
"Hmmm... You must kill her. And she would turn to a Celestial Spirit. Or she could die with the curse and never see her again."
"I can't... We can't hurt her!" I ran off after that. Then Master came to me and said everything would be alright. Later that day, someone who introduced herself as a Magic Specialist talked to me. She said that making you hate us, your family, is a way you could become human again. You have to hate the people you loved most. At first I didn't trust her. But then I saw the black tattoo on your nape so I was forced to listen. I told everything to Master. Natsu-san was there. He heard us so he suggested the idea of hurting you like that. I thought he was stupid, but realized that his idea would be the least we could do. And then that happened."

I was speechless. I didn't know what to say. Somehow I didn't understand her story.

"Then three months later, you still weren't there. Sting came and announced your death, throwing us your supposed key--"

"I was manipulated by Minerva!"

"As I was saying, he threw us your supposed key. We thought you were dead. And that's when everyone started mourning over you. We hated Sabertooth. Until one day, I found a book on your bed. It was glowing. Last time I checked, it wasn't there. So I took a look at it and learned that there was another way. I left the guild to search for you, although I thought you were dead, I still had a little hope. Then I found you."

"I..."

All these years they just wanted to save me... and I hated them for that.

"Also, I learned that the fake Magic Specialist was named Mikari Kudoshi, your sister."

I went beyond shocked. So it was her fault all along?! But... we haven't even met around that time. Does that mean she knew me before I knew her?!

"Mikari..." I heard AZ muttered.

"What do you know about her?"

"She's my sister." My eyes widened upon hearing his words. His sister?! How?!

"Truth is...--"

"HELLO, LUCY-NEE!"

Everyone was cut off when a familiar girl voice was heard in the speaker.

"Everyone, I suggest you leave, or die." then everyone started to panic.

My body still hurt but I managed to stand up and run to the huge window. And there I saw Mikari in the judge's table. Chapati and Wani were both knocked unconscious.

"Oh wait, nobody leaves until my sister shows herself!" the arena became dark and was surrounded by black runes, blocking the crowd from leaving.

"Lucy-nee?"

My knees were shaking as I looked at her. Her appearance is very different from when she attacked me yesterday. Now her hair was very long and her skin went paler. She had a very dark aura emitting around her. It... felt like Zeref's.

"LUCY-NEE!" she screamed, her hair grew longer and it wrapped some people, squeezing them.

Just a second later, blood errupted from the now broken bodies of those people.

I was about to smash the glass window to leave when a blonde stepped in the middle of the arena. Her hair exactly like mine but she was wearing a black frilly dress.

"What do you want from me?" that voice... Mirajane?! S-She transformed into me?!

"YOU ARE NOT LUCY-NEE! FAKE!" Mikari screamed an ear-defeaning high pitched scream. She controlled her hair and grabbed Mirajane-Me, then sqeezed her as well.

I can't let this happen!

I smashed the glass window and jumped out, gaining her attention.

She smiled sweetly and dropped Mirajane. Her hair dashed to me, but when it was about to hit me, someone blocked me.

"You are not having my Lucy." he growled. His blonde hair swaying as the wind blew.

"S-Sting..."

"Stay back, Lucy. I promised to protect you, didn't I?" he glanced at me and smiled.

I felt a tug on my hand and I found Ryouka with the others. She pulled me away. Away from Sting and into a 'safe' place.

"If she wants you, we won't give you to her. Remember, we would always protect you no matter what." Erza stepped up, stucking her hand out. "I'm sorry for hurting you, Lucy."

I was about to take her hand when I heared an explosion outside. Sting was fighting against Mikari. Rogue, and everyone from Fairy Tail backing him up.

Tears welled up in my eyes. All this time they just wanted to protect me. Why was I so stupid? Why did I let myself be blinded by anger?

I felt a reassuring hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see Erza.

She smiled at me before running off to join the battle.

This... This is the Fairy Tail I know.
