Ch. 9: Some Secrets

[Lucy's PoV]

As I entered the guild, I walked and went to sit at the corner table. I don't wanna talk today. I still haven't got over about the information I learned yesterday.

"Celestial Curse. A cursed wizard may only have a few years left to live, or turn into a celestial spirit."

And the information that Crux gave me last night.

"The only way to break the curse, is an act of love and bonding friendship. However, if more than 3 years have already passed, it may be possible or impossible for you to break the curse. The only way to live on, is to die. And turn to a spirit. But it is also possible that you get rejected be the Spirit King, and you just die instead. I'm sorry, Lucy. That's all I can tell you."

I wonder when I got this curse?

"Hey.." I looked at my side using my peripheral vision and saw it was Sting. He pulled a chair and sat on it, next to me.

"You alright?"

I faked a smile and nodded.

"Don't worry Lucy, I'll help you with this, okay? Trust me." he said as he brushed my hair away from my face, and wiped some tears that escaped my eyes away.

"You are not gonna die." he assured me as he held my face.

"EHEM!" We both turned our heads to see Master standing with her hands on her hips.

"I need to talk to you, Sting." she said and rolled her eyes at me.

Sting looked at me so I nodded before he got up and went to Master Minerva.

"Slut." I heard her mutter before they're completely out of sight.

What's wrong with her?!

And why was Sting acting weird?

And why is my heart beating wildly when I saw him?

Why did it felt like my heart crushed when he left with someone else?

Wait... don't tell me...
Oh no... This is really bad...
I can't be inlove again...

I'm not stupid and dense to not realize what I feel. I already felt this way before. I WAS inlove with Natsu.

Natsu...

[Sting's PoV]

"What do you want?" I asked her as we stopped in her office.

"Don't forget about your mission, Sting." she reminded me. Oh shoot!

"Minerva." I called.

"I... don't wanna do the mission."

"WHAT?!" she shrieked as she stood up and walked to me.

"You're not backing out now. I'm the Master. Follow my orders." she said as she pushed me to the wall and touched my chest.

"Yes, I am. And I'm disobeying you." I said cooly.

"What's wrong with you, Sting?" she whispered in my ears.

I felt her traced my abs with her fingers.

"You have always obeyed my orders--" I cut her off by pushing her to shut her up.

"Just shut the fck up. That's the past. I don't even kniw whyI had to follow your orders." I stated as I pushed her off of me.

"That's because I said so. And you will follow all my orders. It's part of our deal." she said as she crossed her arms. "Now, you will continue with your mission. Or else..."

"Or else what, Minerva?"

"I'll use this to force you." she showed me the lacrima device that could control people's mind. And that controlled person won't have memories of what he or she did while being under controlled.

She always use that to threaten me. If I don't obey her, she'll use that to control me.

"Tsk. Fine. Give me some time." Of coarse I lied. This is better than letting her control me. Who knows what else she'd do to me, right?

She smiled. "Good."

[Lucy's PoV]

"Hmm..." I hummed as I traced through the books in the book store. When I was about to grab the novel I was looking for, someone else took it first. I looked at the smaller person and my eyes instantly went wide, just like her.

"L-L-L-Lucy...? Y-Y-You're alive? Lucy? That's you right? You're alive, right?" she said as tears began rolling down her face while smiling. Why is she so happy to see me? I thought she wanted me to die?

I wanted to turn my feet and run away. Away from her. Away from one of the people who hurt me.

All the pain... came back like it just went to a vacation.

"Lucy-san... I'm happy to see you..." she said teary as she went to touch my hand but I quickly pulled it away.

"Don't. I-I'm just a ghost. Awooo~" Now, where did that came from?

"I'll hunt you in your sleep if you don't leave now. Awoo~" I'm stupid. Lamest excuse ever.

"Lucy-san?"

"Awoo~ I'm Ghost Lucy-san. Give me the book. Awoooo~" I know. I look stupid.

"You're funny, Lucy-san. You're really alive, right? Please tell me you're alive and not a ghost. Please?" her face looked hopeful. Okaaay... now I feel guilty.

I sighed.

"Why, Wendy? Why are you so happy to see me alive? Aren't you supposed to hate me?" I asked one after another question and turned around.

"You can have the book. I'll just read a different one." I began walking away.

"I guess, you're guild is very happy now, huh?" Oops. I think I sounded bitter.

I continued to walk away as tears started to form at the corner of my eyes.

"Wait..." she called so I stopped but didn't turn around.

"I left the guild..." was all she said before I continued to walk away.

She left?
