Ch. 13: More of the Past

[No one's PoV]

"P-P-Please... D-Don't do t-this t-t-to us..." a man at his 20's begged as he cowered in fear of the blonde man towering them.

"W-We swear... W-We know nothing a-about it.." the other man wearing an elf hat said.

"Oh? Ofcoarse you do. Yes, you do. She got it from you, didn't she?" the spiky-blonde haired man said with his scary serious voice as he cracked his knuckles.

"N-No--" before the first man finished his sentence, he was already sent flying to the wall by the blonde's punch.

"She did! She did! Yes, she did got it from us, Sting-sama!" the other man said shakily. His voice full of regret.

"Then tell me about it, Gonn."

"I-It's a d-device t-that allows y-you to m-manipulate someone."

"Oh I know that. Tell me more before I punch you again."

"T-The ma-manipulated person has no memories of what h-he did when he was u-under t-the device.."

"Carry on."

"I-It c-c-can o-only be u-used by someone as p-powerful a-as a guild master.."

"Mmhmm?"

"M-Master M-M-Minerva g-got it from u-us.. t-to c-control... you.."

The blonde man smirked. "Good." then he left the two cowering men in the abandoned house.

"What are you really up to, Minerva?" he thought.

[Master Minerva's PoV]

People say it's better to give than to recieve. But could you still follow that advice when it comes to the person you love?

[FLASHBACK - 4 years ago]

"F-Father! You can't leave me! I can't be the Master! It's always you!" I yelled at my Father, Jiemma.

Everyone sees me as the sadist, heartless btch. But when it comes to only me and my father? I become this softie that NO ONE but Father has ever seen. No lt even my sister.

"Shut up, Minerva. You don't need me. Take care of yourself. I will do what I want." he grumpily said as he picked up a bag and threw it to me. "Two days after I leave, you become the Master. Open that." it was the last thing I heard from him before he boarded the train.

"FATHER! FATHER! FATHERRR!" I yelled and yelled his name but he never came back.

2 Days Later

"Now that I'm your Master, you will all follow my orders. Or leave the guild. I have set up new set of rules. I only accept those with attitude or those with strong magic and strength. Everyone goes to a trial. And if they fail, they leave. Or they die." here I am, back to my normal heartless self. Sitting in front of these pathetic weaklings.

"Starting with... Kanade. We all know you're a softie. So show me your powers by battling... Sozano." I smirked as she rolled her eyes at me. This is going to be an interesting fight. Kanade versus the man she has always loved but loves me.

In the end, Sozano won. Not only because he's strong and powerful, but also because I told him to defeat her and leave her beaten up badly.

Kanade wasn't sent to clinic after that, I told them all to just leave her there. But Rogue did not obliged. He helped her and sent her to his home and treated her wounds. He even called Chelia of Lamia Scale for help with her.

I had 50 members out. That doesn't include Kanade. She remained as a barmaid in the guild because of Sting and Rogue.

"Erva... I did what you requested. Can I get my price now?" Sozano asked as the assessment ended.

"Yes." and with that one word, he attacked me with a lustful kiss and did things that I never did before.

As days passed, I came to like being the Master better. I have the power to make their life hell. So pleasing to my eyes as I see them suffering because of me.

Sozano was still my slave. He gets to do what he wants to me in exchange for a secret quest.

After several months, we became together. And I hate to admit it but I found myself loving him. I loved him.

But we only lasted for a couple of  months. He died. Because of my damn sister! He protected her when she was supposed to die. Damn. I was the one who payed hundreds of bandits to execute Kanade. But Sozano saved her.

It only took me half a month to recover and move on from his death. But I still love him. And we never broke so I still consider him as my present.

Then at the end of the month, Kanade tried to kill me with poison. But instead of me drinking it, someone else did. Sting did. And he was dozed with the poison that Kanade placed in the drink.

He would've died if it weren't for my damn sister's healing spell.

I just found myself loving Sting each day that comes.

There was one night when Kanade confronted me.

"You were the one who payed those badits, weren't you?!"

"So what if I am?".

"You..! You murderer! You killed Sozano! You killed him!"

"Correction, btch. If you're not weak, he wouldn't have had to save you."

"Are you still not contented of everything that you stole from me? You even wanted to kill me?!"

"Stole? I never stole anything from you, dear sister. It was you who never obtained them."

"You're such a liar! Not only did you destroyed me in Father, you even stole my magic! You destroyed my image to Sozano! You lied to him about me! You seduced him! You btch! I hate you! I hate you! I wish you never became my sister!" she screamed at my poker face.

"Go on, scream, cry. Do what you want. For all I care. The feeling is mutual. I hate you too." then I left her.

That's when I entered my room and spotted a bag. A familiar bag. It was the bag that I was supposed to open since I became the Master. I totally forgot about that, huh?

And when I opened it, I had this vision about a blonde girl who would steal Sting away from me.

Lucy Heartfilia. That's why I did my research and spied on her.

I retrieved a manipulating lacrima device from goons who recieved the same prize that Sozano had.

I used it on Sting. And used him to tell everyone in her damn previous guild that she's dead.

So, that one day when she came to the guild, I took her in. To destroy her.

Acting in front of the conscious un-manipulated Sting as if I know nothing.

[FLASHBACK ENDS]

It's better to give than to recieve? Nahh. I prefer:
It's better to recieve than to give.

So that I always win. And get what I want.

A/N: So what can you say about Minerva's PoV? And her past? I know I updated earlier than I would've. But I have plans. And there would be two more updates before christmas.
