We don't know fate's plan for every one of us. We don't know how many twists are we gonna have. We can't guess the future, but we can build it.

Sucrose's company makes me feel something unique, something that I would never have felt in my old family. They makes me feel special for once in my life. And that's why I'm so thankful.

-"Sucrose..." -I called her name while I was laying on the bed.

-"Yes, Albedo?" -She answered me while she was sitting at the side of the bed.

-"Why you asked me to sleep next to you?" -I asked sincerely.

-"I remembered what you said about how uncomfortable was sleeping at the couch" -She answered to me eith her voice flowing naturally. _"So I just thought you would be comfortable sleeping here since we are not strangers".

-"Is that so?" -I was grateful for her understanding. -"I'm not uncomfortable, but are you?" -I told him, since so far this night she has not gone to bed.

-"I'm not uncomfortable". -She answered. -"I'm just reliving old memories I wanted to forget." -She told me with her broken voice.

-"Are you okay, Sucrose?" -I was worried about her. I realized that her voice sounded sad, and I was afraid that she would be triggered by sleeping next to me. -"If you want to, I will sleep at the couch, it's not an issue to me, and might be better if I do because..." - I was cut off by her.

-"Don't leave me now." -Sucrose told me, turning to look at me, realizing the tears on her eyes. -"You don't make me feel uncomfortable at all. In fact, your presence makes me feel happy and I would pay you the amount of Mora you want for you to stay with me."

I was shocked by her words, and the difference between the warmth of her affirmations and her facial expression. My chalk heart can't bear to see her cry, so I quickly got up, went over to where she was, and hugged her.

I rarely saw Sucrose cry, and when I did, she would walk away from me. I don't know if it is because of shame, or because I am the one who causes her to cry.

-"My Sweet Flower, don't cry, please." -I said to her while my arms surrounded her and my lips sought her cheeks. -"I don't know if I have the right to know the reason for your crying, but I want you to know that you can count on me for everything. In the end, that's what couples are for, to support each other"

Sucrose put her hands on my arms, and with her broken voice, she began to tell me everything that happened in her mind.

-"This is my parents' room" -She started. -"And the fact that we are both considered Endora's parents causes me a lot of nostalgia." -She was trying to speak, still sobbing. -"And also I'm afraid of playing the Mom Role wrong, and one day leave an incurable scar on Endora"

Her voice was getting worse and worse, and I wanted to help her, but I don't know how.

-"Don't worry about it, Sucrose." -I tried to comfort her. -"I know we will be amazing parents, and we are doing it good."

-"Don't you dare to leave me, don't you ever think about it, please." -She was trying to hug me. At that moment, I opened my arms and hugged her. She felt more relieved by my words and presence.

-"How can I ever leave my Sweet Flower and my daughter alone?" -I was caressing her hair softly. -"You and Endora are the reason I'm here, and the reason of why I would die here" -I said, remembering my old promise. -"Sucrose, If one day my destiny finally reaches me, could you protect yourself and our daughter?" -I asked. Her facial expression was novel, she was confused.

-"Do you still thinking about that, right?" -She, like me, was worried. -"I told you to don't think about a late event that might not occur." -She was cut off by me.

-"Sucrose, you know that the Abyss Order is a thing, and if they reach me, everything will be lost." -I was telling to her. -"So if one day the time finally comes, can I count on you to protect yourself from me, despite our undying love?" -I was asking too much.

-"Albedo, we can go through it. But if you're not going to be calm until I promise you, then I promise you, My Blond Prince, that I will take care of Endora." -She swore it to me.

My destiny, being a native of Kaenri'ah, was not pretty, and it was not happy either. But having Sucrose and Endora made me feel that every time that catastrophic event was something that no longer existed. However, that intrusive thought always ran through my head, and I was terrified that Sucrose would try to stop me when I'm not sure I can do it myself. But that work will be exclusive to the Knights of Favonius, and only to them. Losing my family by my fate would be something I would regret for life. Sucrose made me a promise, and I count on her to keep it. Her safety is my priority.

-"Sucrose" -I called her name again.

-"Hm? What's up, Albaedo?" -She answered to my calling.

-"Let's sleep now, please." -I asked to her, but before I could get up, she pulled me from my arm and spoke to me.

-"Let's keep our conversation going. It's not late." -She was looking at my eyes, And the way she looks at me makes me unwittingly obey her. I was wondering what she wanted to talk about now, but it seemed to be something important.

-"And what do you want to talk about now-" -I was interrupted by her pink lips, which had silenced me with a small and sincere kiss. I had no choice but to continue her little game, and my lips responded.

The nights are eternal, but life is not. Our souls dancing to the rhythm of silence. Sucrose taking my hand like I'm going to escape. Her minty hair bewitching me. And her Sweet Flower eyes calling me to stay.

I don't know if there is a god, and I never believed in one, but if there is, I thank you for allowing me to meet Sucrose's lips, and for all the moments that I shared with her.
