Love is a feeling shared between two people, or simply from one to another, that defines your expressions and behaviors towards the other. That's what Albedo says with his words, but I learned something different from his actions. Love is the sacrifice you would make for that person who helps you understand your feelings. Love is your responsibility to live with that girl called "daughter" because you know that she is a part of you. Love is your courage to let everyone speak when you try to show your loved one how much you care. But despite everything, we all have different perceptions of love, incorrect or correct, but with time everything becomes clear. There is no evil that lasts a thousand years.
Because love is not only towards another person, love is towards yourself. If you cannot love yourself, or define the love you have for yourself, you cannot love others. Because love can also be chasing your dreams, even if it requires starting from scratch. Love can be letting go of old worries that no longer concern you. And love is making your way to advance to the next stage of your life. Yes, love has many forms, and understanding it is the key to understanding the world. Because Water Flows Like True Love. Water and Love are the foundations of life. It is somewhat complex, but eventually you will understand.
As soon as we finished setting up the altar, Sucrose and I got dressed to finally go to the place where Albedo and Sucrose would meet. Sucrose that day let her hair down and dressed in a short light white dress. Unlike her first date, Sucrose looked more confident.
Sucrose and I walked towards the entrance to Mondstadt, where Albedo was already waiting for us. And to our surprise, Albedo had a bouquet of Sweet Flowers in his hands. Sucrose, delighted by the surprise, ran to hug Albedo. The surrounding people saw them, but they didn't care. They were together, that was the matter.
—“You've always given me sweet flowers like the day we met” —Sucrose said to him.
—“Do you still have the Sweet Flower from so many years ago?” —Albedo asked to her.
—“Of course I do, Albedo. I learned to keep them intact” — She replied smiling.
They both held my hands and we both set off on our way to Starsnatch Cliff. The road was long and boring, but their presence made me not worry about it. And it was also a very high place, so it was difficult to climb and climb.
And several times we ran into slimes and hilichurls, but we three managed to get through them. Sucrose's anemo windblowing, Albedo's Geo construtions to keep me safe, and of course I needed to help them. Through our various encounters, we had to fight enemies, and I learned to handle my blessing much better. Just as I learned to control my powers, I learned to control my fears and I became more courageous. The three of us are a great team.
And we finally made it to the top of Starsnatch Cliff. The view was beautiful, since it was a sunset. The water reflecting the sun, the wind touching our hair, and the ground welcoming us. Three elements together in one place. I felt so good
We sat on the edge of the cliff. Albedo to the left, Sucrose in the center and to the right of Sucrose I was, who kept in the bags of my clothes a gift a little unusual but important.
—“This view is amazing, right?” —Albedo asked us.
—“Yes, it is, Albedo” —Sucrose answered. —“Have you ever come here before?”
—“I did a years ago, when I first arrived to Mondstadt.” —He started telling. —“I needed to sketch something for my mom, and asked a few locals about good places for sketching a landscape, and this is the place I sketched.”
—“Your mom?” —She asked. —“You never told me anything about her”
—“Didn't I?” —He said. —“Well that's because we are not longer a family, I decided to cut off any kind of relationship we had, so I guess that's why I haven't talk you about her.”
—“Did something wrong happened?” —Sucrose was terrified. —“Did you have a fight with her?”
—“She made my fate turns darker, she ruined my life” — His voice was getting broken. —“As you know I'm from Kaenri'ah, a wicked place people is afraid of, and that makes me even worse. My mom is an amazing alchemist, and she resurrected me when I died thousands of years ago. You perfectly know my secret, Sucrose. You know that at any moment, the Abyss Order will reach me and they will force me to follow a destiny that I no longer want. I don't want to become a dark creature, and I don't want the people of Mondstadt, like you and Endora, to get hurt because of me.”
Albedo possessed the heart of a dragon that died a long time ago, and it affected her horribly. And if one day he loses the control he has over this situation, he only has two options: Let him die, or let his loved ones die.
—“Albedo, you can count in us” —She tried to support him. —“If you want to live calmly without regrets or fears, you must understand that we are here to support you, because you are your family” —She said —“and forever yours.”
—“Family...” —He said. —“Life gave me the opportunity to experience happiness before this happened, and it gave me the opportunity to have a family. You two taught me how happy one can be despite the fact that the future is uncertain, and during all the time that we have been together, I discovered that my happiness will be yours” —He held Sucrose's hand. —“That is why today I want to make a proposal, with all my heart”
Sucrose couldn't believe that Albedo was actually going to ask her for something like that. Sucrose had no idea, and he caught us off guard. I felt how the emotions of both were mixed between love, happiness, nerves, concern and derivatives. They both had a mess of emotions. At that moment, from his pocket he took out a small box. And before opening it, he recited to Sucrose a few words from the depths of his soul.
—“Sucrose, you have helped me understand human emotions, you have made my life purposeful, and you have helped me abandon my vague idea of destroying the world. I'm tired of being called a father but not having any kind of bond with you. And for that, I want to swear that my life I will adore you, I will protect you and I will share all my moments, even the most horrible, with you and my daughter, our daughter.” —Albedo could barely speak of the emotion in her words —“Water Flows Like True Love, And my feelings for you are like the wind, that somehow touch the earth. Both, together, for eternity, or at least, what we have left of eternity, honey” —He said to her.
I still couldn't believe the words Albedo was saying to Mom. My mother could not contain the emotion. Albedo, Sucrose and I got up from our place. And albedo continued to speak of his infinite love for Sucrose.
—“Sucrose, if your feelings for me are as strong as mine for you, and if you wish to spend the rest of your life with a blond alchemist who loves you with all his heart, Please answer me. Will you marry me?” —He knelt before her, showing her the content.
Inside the box, there was a small ring with a mint green stone, which seemed to signal something important. It was an engagement ring, an eternal promise from Albedo to Sucrose until the Greatest Day.
—“Albedo...” —Sucrose started crying, covering her mouth with her hands. —“I...”
Sucrose asked me to take the gift I had for Albedo out of my bag. He showed the box to Albedo, and slowly opened it. Albedo couldn't handle the madness. His disbelief led him to get up and stand up. He couldn't believe it either. And inside Sucrose's box, the gift that drove Albedo crazy, had a small engagement ring with a yellowish stone above.
