A few days later. Steve saw Bucky and called him. He needed to talk to him.

Steve: "Hey man. You got a second ?"

Bucky: "Sure, what is it ?"

Steve: "Well again sorry for not telling you about Nat..."

Bucky: "You already apologized for that, plus there is nothing to be sorry about, you did what you thought was best for the kids and for your family."

Steve: "Thanks."

Bucky: "So, what's second ?"

Steve: "Well, you know Nat and I have been together for over 12 years, we had the twins and we didn't have the opportunity to do this... Also she really wanted Wanda as... Oh god how difficult is this..."

Bucky: "Just tell me Steve it's ok. Come on we know each other for long enough."

Steve: "I need your help. I want to propose to Nat. Will you please come with me and help me pick a ring ?"

Bucky: "I'll be very happy to."

Steve felt like he could breathe again. He hugged his best friend and went over to see Wanda. He knew he would need her help with this if he didn't want the surprise to fall apart. He waited until Nat went training and asked Wanda for a talk.

Wanda: "Hey Steve !"

Steve: "Shhh..." *whispering* "I need you to keep Nat busy for a few hours"

Wanda: "Why ? *reads his mind* "OMG !"

Steve: "Shhh..."

Wanda: "A surprise date... Just the two of you, it sounds great."

Steve: "Also, I'm not telling her where I'm taking her so if she asks what to wear, just tell her something elegant, like dressed up pretty clean... You know what I mean ?"

Wanda: "Ok on one condition."

Steve: "Name it"

Wanda: "I need some more details, I feel like you're not telling me something and I can't figure it out."

Steve: "Fine. I want to ask her to marry me."

Wanda: "OMG ! This is amazing !"

Steve: "Shhh, just hold your excitement until she says yes, ... If she says yes."

Wanda: "She is so gonna say yes. She loves you Steve. We talked about it these past days. She didn't fully say how much but I can read minds, remember. She is head over heels for you."

Steve: "Thanks. Well I'll see you later, I gotta invite my girl for a date."
