A Silent Child (Brothers conflict fanfic)

No such thing as peaceful

(Zero's pov) 

Today we were leaving for our trip. Everyone was so excited. i had also learned that Kaname's temple he works at is there. I sighed even more irritated. I had to ride in a car with Masaomi, Subaru, Ema, and Yusuke. 

The ride was filled with Masaomi trying to get everyone to sing a car song or teasing. Unfortunately i had to sit in the middle of Subaru and Yusuke. Thankfully Ema had lent me her ear plugs and i just played music from my phone. 

I had my eyes closed, not really sleeping just wanting to be at peace. I was listening to 'Take Me to Church' by Hozier. It was an interesting song compared to what they were playing on the radio. 

I yawned a little and felt someone tap my shoulder. i opened a eye to see Subaru blushing a little as he looked away. i took out one ear plug and looked at him telling him 'What?'. Yusuke was yelling at Masaomi while Ema was laughing so no one could hear us.

He cleared his throat. "Y-You can sleep on my shoulder if you want." he stuttered a little. I shook my head. My phone rang to show i had a text. i looked down to see it was Lindy. 

'Good luck! Fight!" I sweat dropped at her text as my eyebrow twitched slightly. 'What the hell does she think this is?' i thought. i then sent her a text explaining how she was weird and needed to take her pills again. 

"We're here!" Masaomi said. Yusuke rolled down the window and smiled. We were still on the road but we were out of our hometown and in the next. The place had vast mountains. It looked to be peaceful here. I looked at the window. 

I had to admit it was beautiful out here. It took us another hour to get up the mountain before we finally reached where we'd be staying. 

The others were already there getting unpacked. We all got out of the car. i took in a fresh breath of air when my senses kicked in and i moved to the side allowing Tsubaki to fall to the floor. I glared at him. "Eh? Why won't you let me hug you Onee-chan! Onii (brother) loves you" he teased with a pout.

I ignored him with a cold look as i walked past him like he was dust. 

I walked into one of the houses. I saw two beds inside. 'I guess me and Ema are sharing a room' i thought annoyed seeing that i wouldn't get my privacy. 

I turned on my phone to see what time it was. it was 1:00p.m. I turned it off then walked over to one of the beds that had a better view. i threw my bag on the side and fell on the bed not wanting to unpack. 

"LET'S GO SWIMMING!" Someone yelled. "That sounds like a great idea!" the others cheered as i heard a running of feet. The door was calmly opened then closed. "Ah there you are Zero-nee, we're all going swimming. Are you coming?" she asked. 

'No' I said in sign not even getting up to look at her. 

I laid down properly on the bed so i could face my back towards her. it was a couple minutes before she announced she'd be leaving. I still didn't give her a reaction. i heard her sigh as she walked out. 

I sat up and looked out the window to see a few of the brothers running down to the lake with their swim suits. A lot of them shamelessly flirting with Ema. i rolled my eyes as i got up and grabbed my skateboard out of my duffel bag.
