A Silent Child (Brothers conflict fanfic)

(Zero's pov) 

I come back to the apartment to see Everyone there. I mean everyone. Even Subaru who was looking good. 

I instantly put my hands in my coat pocket so no one asks questions. "Nice for you to join us Zero-nee." Kaname smiles with. I gave everyone a confused look. "Please sit down Onee, i was just about to make an announcement." Ukyo said smiling. 

I took a seat next to Louis and Ema. "Now then. Due to recent events i thought it'd be nice for us all to get out. So i've decided we spend a 3 night trip at our private lake house." Ukyo smiled. "YA ROAD TRIP!" Wataru said dancing happily.

"Becareful Wataru." Masomi said. 

"We'll be leaving the day after tomorrow morning ." Ukyo said going to the kitchen to continue dinner i suppose. Some people went to go get started packing until then. Until Ema was left.

"Zero-chan." she said in a serious tone. i lifted an eyebrow. "What happened to your hands?" she asked. I stiffened, but stayed quiet. Soon her stern look turned into a pleading look.

"Please Zero-nee, don't cut me out." she pleaded. i looked at her as she began to slightly tear. i sighed and stood up. i motioned my head to show her to follow. 

She followed me up to my room and when we got there i locked the door. "You can't say a word." i said in a whispher. She looked shocked that i actually talked. It was only because my hands felt a little sting when i moved them. 

She stiffly nodded. i sighed and took out my hands slowly and unwrapped them till the bandages fell to the ground. My knuckles were red and were sort of bludy from punching the guy so hard. She gasped and carefully examined my hand. "W-WHAT HAPPENED!" She whisphered shouted.

"...I hit him too hard." was all i said.

She gave me a confused look "What do you-" but she stopped when she saw the look in my eye. "Your the one who beat up the guy that hurt Subaru.." she whisphered. i sighed and took my hands away from her as i went over to my desk and brought out a new thing of gauze.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?" she asked. I tied the gauze. "My reasons. Tell the idiots i'm not hungry." i said. and before she could say anything i pushed her out of my room and shut it.

I stood like that, with my hand on the lock and the door. Awaare of my surrounding darkness. i softly placed my forehead on the door and sighed.I stood there for a minute before walking over to my bed where the flipnote camera was.

I put in my flashdrive. i sat down on the floor leanning against the bed. 

I started to play the film.

It was a vedio i had of me and Zori.

"C'mon Zori!!' my younger self said behind the camera. She giggled. She was sitting in her hospital bed with a huge cake.

"All for you! Make a wish!" i said with a laugh."Come here Onee-chan! It's both our birthdays!" She smiled.The camera shifted as my younger self ran by her and hugged her. "Ready." we said together. "One two, three!" We said as i lightly blew but she  blew out hermost of the  candles.

The nurses clapped for her then left to go do their work. "What did you wish for? "i asked her coming closer to her as i got the camera back. She had a huge smile. "I wished that i could have a star!" she yelled with herarms spread out.

"That's a stupid wish." i joked. She pouted. "No it isn't! I heard if i hold a star then my wish will come true!" She said. "That's a wishing star, dobe." i said.

Her face fell. "Oh no!!!" she said gripping her short hair theat was cut. I laughed. "Don't worry i still have my wish so we can spend together." i said. She smiled. "Thank you Onee-chan!" she yelled happily. 

The video turned blue then another film came. 

Zori was in the bed with a wire going into her nose and she had no hair. She wasn't pale though. The video was being held by her as i held her hand.

"Onee-chan why are you crying?" she asked. i sniffed. " Because...i promised you...i promised i'd save you.." i cried. "Onee-chan don't cry!!! We have a wish still!" she sniffed.

I smiled at her with small tears. "Ye-yea..." i said distantly. "You take it baby sis." i said kissing her forehead. "I wish that when i'm gone you'll protect somebody, just like how you protect me." she said with a sad smile. 

"Zori I-" "And you can't do anything about it! I already wished for it so it's going to happen!" she said stubbornly. I chuckled at her childish behavior as i leaned over again and left a longing kiss on her forehead.

"Whatever you want angel....." i wisphered. 

The video then stopped playing. I turned off the camera and wiped my tears as i leaned my head on my bed. My eyes were still streamming with tears, but i had a blank expression like i wasn't really crying.

'I did it Zori....i made sure your last wish came true...i hope your happy..' I thought sadly in my head. i got up then got into my bed to go to sleep.
