"Hey." Miranda said walking out to meet Ben in the back yard.

"Hey." Ben replied turning around.
"Here you are." Ben replied showing her the ring box.

"Thank you." Miranda said reaching out for it. It has been two weeks since she has seen Ben after the engagement photos. He lives in Seattle so he had work and school to do.

Same with Miranda. She was glad that she was finishing up her last classes online.

Ben got down on one knee and opened the box.

"Marry me." He said and Miranda laughed loudly smacking his hand. She was glad they decided on this friend thing because for the last two weeks they communicated through text and she discovered that he was really funny.

"Get up. You’re getting your khakis dirty." Miranda mused pulling his hand.

Ben got up and Miranda took the ring out of the box. She slid it onto her ring finger and smiled at the fit.

"So, what else do you have to do today." Miranda questioned.

"Nothing. I just came to give you your ring and speak to your father. " Ben said thinking.

"I looked at the homes you sent me and I don't know if I like any of them." Miranda told him seriously.

"I don't think the picture did them any justice. We are going to see them today and if you don't like these we can look for others." Ben replied.

"Today?" Miranda questioned.

"Yeah, after I speak to your father. We are going to take the jet to Seattle." Ben responded smiling and Miranda nodded with a smile.

Sitting on the jet Miranda looked out the window. Her parents had a jet but she never got on it. She barely went to galas or events. She was a shy person her whole life and didn't like being in the spot light.

"So what are you doing for graduation?" Ben asked putting his phone down turning to look at her.

"I'm not doing anything." Miranda answered softly.

"Why? It's college graduation." Ben inquired curiously.

"I'm a reserved person and I don't have any friends." Miranda answered pushing her glasses up

"I still think you should do something Miranda. Even if you have a family thing." Ben encouraged her.

" I'll think about it." Miranda told him.

Ben helped Miranda down the stairs of the jet and Miranda seen all of these fancy cars.

"Which one." Ben asked Miranda and she gaped her mouth open.

"Me?" Miranda asked looking at him intently.

"Mmhmm" Ben nodded.

"Corvette." Miranda responded walking over to it.

"Good choice." Ben praised as he got into the drivers side.

Ben drove for 30 minutes until he got to this big gate. Miranda's eyes widen at the post guard sitting in the small box office.

"Wow is all of this necessary." She said looking around as Ben drove down the long path until it opened up to this huge house.

"Your parents and my parents make billions of dollars. Why wouldn't it be necessary." Ben questioned and Miranda shrugged.

Ben opened her door to let her out and he grabbed her hand. She knew that people must have been inside.

"Benjamin. I don't want any cooks, handmaids or anything else helping us. I can do it myself. I am a normal person." Miranda said softly and Ben understood.

"Done. You're like me, I never liked that either." Ben replied and Miranda smiled.

"Mr. Warren and Ms. Bailey do come in." The woman with a black uniform on.

"I loved your pictures in the magazine. Congratulations on your engagement and my God your ring is beautiful." The woman said giddy like.

"Thank you so much." Miranda told her.

"So I'm Lynette and I'm going to be showing you around."

"So you both arrived from the gated entry and over the antique millstone paver driveway that delivered you to the courtyard entry with oversized three-car garage, gorgeous professional landscaping and water fountain."

"Yes, that was beautiful." Miranda admitted.

"This home was recently modernized."

"I can see that, it honestly better than the pictures that my dear Fiancé sent me." Miranda said nudging Ben.

Lynette laughed. "Yeah this home has been in the Warren family for decades. I’m sure he sent the older ones."

"Is this the 8 bedrooms 10 bathrooms." Miranda asked and Lynette nodded her head.

"Do we really need that many." Miranda asked Ben.

"The other houses have more." Ben shrugged.

"Has the other houses been updated?" Miranda inquired.

"Technology wise yes but decor no." Lynette answered.

"Okay than this is what want." Miranda declared.

" great choice, this house also have
panoramic water views, a private boating access with your own IPE dock and boat lift,  a saltwater pool, along with a private sandy beach. " Lynette finished and Miranda looked at everything as they walked around.

"Ben can you take me to see the medical schools ?" Miranda asked looking at him with big brown eyes.

"Yeah sure. You applied to all of them?" Ben asked and Miranda nodded her head.

"Which one did you go to and where are you doing your residency at." Miranda questioned.

"I went to the university of Washington school of medicine. I'm doing my residency at Mercy West." Ben answered.

Ben pulled up at the medical school and he walked Miranda all around as they held hands.

"This is actually a really beautiful school." Miranda enlighten Ben. "At first I was upset that I had to change schools and move across the country but Seattle is not that bad after all and I'm excited to be doing something new." Miranda added.

"I'm glad, I know this situation was a hard one for the both of us."

Miranda opened her eyes and she looked at her phone as it sounded off.

Ben: Good morning Miranda. I was hoping we could go to lunch and then the mall. I want you to pick out something for your graduation as a present. I don't really know what you like, so I figured this was the best way.

Miranda texted back quickly. Lunch would be great and you didn't have to do that Ben.

Ben: I wanted to and I'll be there by 11:30.

Miranda got up and she took a shower. She stood in her closet trying to find exactly what to where but she didn't have a clue.

She knew it was hot outside so she grabbed a pair of Jean shorts with rips and a white shirt with a plunge neck line. She asked her assistant to stop buying clothes like this but her mother told her to proceed. So Miranda always had on something that was sexy.

Miranda grabbed her white Sandals and she put her outfit on. She grabbed her necklace and put it on along with her bracelets.

Satisfied with her look after combing her hair down. She looked at her watch and walked down stairs quickly.

Miranda walked down the steps and met Ben at his car that he was leaning on.

"Miranda Bailey." Ben greeted.

"Benjamin Warren." Miranda greeted in the same manner.

It has been two months since she has seen him. Ben checked her out multiple times. She looked good.

"How have you been?" Ben asked sitting across from Miranda at the restaurant.

They were outside eating on the top balcony.

"I have been good. My mother is driving me crazy with wedding ideas, dresses and flowers and people." Miranda huffed.

"I'm sorry about that." Ben said not knowing what else to say.

"It's not your fault. It's our parents. It's nothing for you to apologize for." Miranda told him touching his hand.
"I can help you decide about flowers and ideas if you want." Ben offered.

"You? Really?" Miranda asked thinking he was joking.

"Yeah, to take some of the stress off of you. It's both of our wedding. I figured I should play a part versus just getting dressed and showing up.

And we might as well pick what we really want since it's our wedding." Ben told her seriously.

"Okay great I would like that. Tomorrow we can look through catalogs and lay everything out." Miranda smiled before biting into a fry.

Miranda held Ben's hand as they walked through the mall. She looked at all the people staring at them. Mostly women who were probably trying to figure out how did this come about.

Ben walked around with Miranda and he let her pick out and buy what ever she wanted. He had so many bags in his hands but he was content. He wanted her to get comfortable with him and the more he spent time with her the more he saw that she was letting her self be free.

"Ooh the med store." Miranda gasped.

Miranda dragged Ben inside and she looked around.

Miranda looked at the stethoscope in the boxes and he saw the twinkle in her eye the same that showed up looking at the ring.

"Excuse me ma'am can we get the most expensive brand of stethoscope." Ben asked the woman behind the counter.

"Yes sure what color ?"

"Purple." Ben and Miranda said at the same time.

"How did?"

"You brought two shirts that were purple and pink and purple Nikes." Ben commented.

The woman came back from the back and she laid the box on the counter.

"Can we get it personalized and if so how long would that take?" Ben asked curiously.

"Yes you can for additional fees and it's takes about 15 minutes tops."

"Okay. I would like to get it personalized." Ben grabbed the pen and wrote Miranda Bailey M.D. and slid it across.

"But Ben I'm n-

"Hush, you will be. This is fitting." Ben cut her off with a smile.

"Okay." Miranda gave in, giving him a smile.

Ben pulled out his black card and handed it to the woman paying for the gift.

"We will walk around and come back." Ben told Miranda.

Ben walked with Miranda until they got the this beach theme store.
"What do we need out of here?" Miranda questioned.

"Pick out bathing suits. I need new swimming trunks." Ben replied.

Ben walked and found him a blue pair that he like.

He casually watched Miranda look on the racks for a suit and he bit his lip when she picked up a skimpy red one. He didn't know where she would even wear that to but my God she would look so sexy in that.

Ben shook his head. His mind kept betraying him and crossing the line and he needed to stop.

"My family is having a pool party at 4:30. You should come."

"Ben I

"Or I want you to come." Ben changed cutting her off.

Miranda nodded her head, she couldn't tell him no.

Miranda decided on a cheetah print bathing suit much to Ben's dismay it was a little more modest than the red one but he was glad. He didn't not need her showing up in a skimpy bathing suit to her own surprise graduation pool party that he planned.

The two walked back to the medical store.

"Here you are sir." The woman said opening the case.

"Its beautiful." Miranda said reaching out with her right hand touching it.

Ben took it out of the case and he put it around her neck. "Congratulations Miranda on your graduation." Ben smiled.

"Thank you." Miranda blushed standing before him.

"You are the future of medicine and I wholeheartedly believe you are going to change the world. Starting with your hospital and then Seattle and then the world." Miranda felt tears in her eyes.
He was the first one to ever encourage her and believe in her and it made her heart skip a beat.

"You ready." Ben asked and she nodded blinking back tears.

After leaving the mall. Ben drove Miranda back home and Miranda looked at all the cars in her parents huge cobble stone driveway.

"What's all this." Miranda said thinking out loud.

"Come on let's see." Ben told her with a smirk.

He grabbed Miranda's hand and her bags out of the car.

Ben walked with her up to the house and they heard the distant loud music in the back yard.

Ben opened the door and he let her walk in taking in the big sign that said congratulations Miranda.

"Who did this?" Miranda asked shocked turning to look at Ben.

"I did." Ben said sheepishly

"You?"

"Oh" Miranda said with tears now falling as she ran into him hugging him tightly.

"Thank you so much." Miranda said overjoyed.

"Hey its no problem." Ben said seriously.

"No this is my first party...ever" Miranda said wiping her eyes.
"You're a good friend." She told him.

"You mean fiancé." Elena said coming down the stairs.

"Yeah that." Miranda mumbled.

"Come on let's change into our bathing suits." Ben said nodding towards the stairs.

Miranda walked with Ben upstairs and he sat her bags on the floor in her room.

"There is a vacant room across the hall." Miranda told him smiling.

Ben walked across the hall and changed his clothes. He opened the door just as Miranda opened her door.

She looked amazing. Miranda grabbed his arm as they jogged down the stairs.

They walked into the back yard and it was filled with so many people swimming and eating.

Miranda saw her cousins laying back in the pool side chairs.
"Man I haven't seen my cousins in so long." Miranda said walking away from Ben.

"You're not going to introduce me." Ben asked amused.

"Oh right, sorry, yeah come on." Miranda told him as they held hands.

"Hey, Jennifer, Tammy and Angie. This is my fiancé Dr. Benjamin Warren." Miranda said introducing.

"Hi
"Hey
Hi

The three said smiling.

"Hey." Ben said waving at them.

"Warren." William called out.

"Excuse me for a second baby." Ben said kissing her on the head before walking away.

"Where did you meet him." Tammy asked watching Ben walk away.

"My parents were having a dinner party." Miranda said glad that she didn't tell a whole lie.

"Dam he fine." Jennifer said and the other two nodded as Miranda blushed.

Miranda watched as Ben talked to her father and she checked him out again too. He was fine, incredibly at that.

"Can we see the ring." Angie asked and Miranda nodded extending her hand.

"Dam that is a big ass ring. It's huge." Angie said with wide eyes.

"Yeah it's 5 carats. I was upset that he spent that much but he insisted."

Miranda got into the pool and she swam around. It was so many people that she didn't even know, how did he manage to get all of them.

After the shindig came to a close. Miranda went up into her room to wash the chlorine off and wash her hair.

She dried off and threw her robe on walking into her room.

Just as she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." Miranda called out.

Ben opened up the door and he took Miranda's appearance in. Her long straight hair was now wet and curly but still maintained a long length.

"Hey I was just coming to tell you that I was getting ready to go to my hotel but I will be back tomorrow, to look through the wedding books and catalogs with you." Ben informed.

"Okay I will see you tomorrow Benjamin." Miranda told him.

"You know you can just call me Ben." He said sheepishly, she didn't have to be so formal.

"I like Benjamin." Miranda replied with a bright smile.

She was the only one who ever called him by his whole name, his own mother didn't. "Well then by all means Miranda."

"Good night Benjamin Warren." Miranda told him as he smiled back and told her goodnight.
