Normani's POV

I made my way back to the prince's room when I got the page

"Your Normani correct?" The future queen who I now know as Kayla said as I re-entered the room

I nodded and she told me to get out my pen and notepad so I did. Then she started listing some food, I thought that's what she wanted until she cleared the air

"Those are what I'm allergic to, now don't get them twisted now, cause if you do I'm gonna assume that you're trying to kill me"

I really wanted to answer her but I knew my job would be on the line, so I nodded

"Is that all now?" I heard the prince ask from behind me

"Oh yes. You can go now. I just want to spend time with my husband to be" she said and blew a kiss towards him before using her hand to shoo me away

'Does she think I'm a fly?' I thought, I knew my face said it making her do a double take at me

"Is there a problem servant?" She asked with a raised eyebrow

"None at all" I gritted before turning out leave

I was almost at the stairway when I heard someone say my name making me look back and I saw it was the queen. 'Oh my God' I thought as I turned around. I thought I was in trouble but I tried to shake it off as I approached her

"How may I help you, your highness?" I asked her and she invited me into the room which was way bigger and more spacious than the prince's

"I need you to keep a close eye on the prince, especially that girl" was all she said

"May I ask why ma'am?" I questioned

"Not right now, just do as I say. At the end of each week you meet me in the garden and fill me in on whatever happened between the two" she said and then told me to leave

She wants me to spy on her son and the future queen? 'What the hell are those two up to?' I thought as I made my way to the kitchen to hand the chef the alergy list per Kayla's request

I went to knock on the prince's bedroom door but then I heard them arguing

"We were young!" I heard Kayla yell

"That's not answering my question" I heard Y/N asked

"What question?"

"Why did you agree to marry me knowing how we ended things in the past?"

At that question I gasped then I heard them get quiet

'Damn it' I thought and tried to cover my tracks by knocking on the door. Soon the door opened to reveal the prince, he had on his robe and a pair of night slippers

"Yes?" He asked

"Oh, uh dinner will be ready shortly" I said and he looked at me skeptically but before he could reply I walked away

Its now after dinner and I was getting ready to leave the castle to head over to my dorm when I heard someone call out for me and not just anyone

I froze temporarily before turning around

"Did you...hear anything outside of my room today?" Prince Y/N asked

"No why? Is something wrong?" I asked lying straight through my teeth. Well I couldn't tell him I heard

He looked at me suspiciously before nodding and going up the many flight of stairs. With that I made my way to the dorm to freshen up for bed
