Y/N's POV

I woke up feeling...happy

As soon as my eyes opened I realized I wasn't in my room, I was in Normani's room. I felt weight on top of me and then the familiar curly brown hair was slightly blocking my vision

The hand that wasn't behind my head was caressing her clothed back as it occasionally rubbed against her nearest ass cheek. She was in oneof my favorite college sweaters and honestly she's so cute in it. It stopped just at her mid thigh which made her look even more sexy than she already is

After that kiss the other night, Normani and I spent a little more time in the maze before we headed to her dorm where we watched the TV in the living room but when we heard Maya coming in we rushed to her room

It was like we were teens in love running from our parents. After laying there for a few minutes, I checked the time and decided to get up

I started poking at her sides and she started squirming before she fell into a laughing fit and the sight and sound made me smile. She was laughing so hard that she fell off the bed pulling me with her

"Aah" she cried out as she hit the floor

"Mani are you okay in there!?" Maya yelled from the other side of the door

"Yeah! Just fell off the bed that's all" Normani answered looking up at me since I was hovering over her

"Uh...okay" Maya mumbled before we heard her walk away from the door

"I have a tux fitting session today for the wedding" I said as I helped her up

"Right...the wedding" she said as she did she let go of my hand "uh, well good luck"

"I hate that we have to do this" I said as I walked over to her

"Do what?" She asked ignoring my presence behind her

"That we have to hide. I feel...happy when I'm with you and when you smile it makes my heart beat weird. That kiss the other night made me feel alive and normal, when I'm spending time with you I don't feel like royalty, you don't treat me like I'm this precious prized possession and I'm happy for that because you make me feel like there's life away from this one I'm living over in that gigantic castle"

She looked at me with glossy eyes and walked away from me

"Stop trying to make me feel loved and cherished by you when all that's gonna change when you walk out that door. At the end of the day I'm a maid and your the prince... the future king of this kingdom and your getting married to a very beautiful woma-"

"No one in my eyes is as beautiful as you are and I mean that. Don't you think I'm breaking piece by piece everytime I walk away from you because I know that I want to flaunt you to my parents and family, to the people of this kingdom and I can't because my parents are forcing me to marry that my college girlfriend who cheated on me. I would love nothing more than to kiss you in front of everyone but this life chose me and I can't change that" I vented

She looked over at me and we were both silent

"Your right...this life chose you-"

"Normani I know what your gonna sa-"

"And you're getti-"

"Don't finish that sentenc-"

"Your getting married! And when you do your gonna become king and forget all about me. Just save your breath for your vows and le-"

I cut her off by pinning her to the wall and kissing her roughly. Even though it was rough I knew she could feel my emotions pouring out and I was right when she pushed me away with tears fell from her eyes

"Say it" I said as I got my shirt causing her to look away from me

"Just say it..."I pressed as I got dressed

"Get out" she whispered

Even though I knew she wanted the opposite, I left feeling like I walked away from the best thing that has ever happened to me
