A/N:
Hello everyone! Gosh, it's been a while. A lot has happened in my life lol, and I'm sure none of you want to hear me complain lol, so I'll get along with it. I'm also going to be posting a book in which I will be journaling (In essence) About my shifting adventures! If you guys don't know what reality shifting is, feel free to look it up, it's interesting. I haven't shifted yet as of today (5/3/2021) But like I said, the book is going to be updated over time, so feel free to check it out if you guys wanna share stories, info, or ideas! Anyways, on with the story!
Set some time after the end of Falcon and the Winter Soldier roughly.
~Begin~
You awoke in your soft bed, the colors of a beautiful sunrise flitting all around you. Your bed was warm, and soft, perfect, and just absolutely cozy. You inhaled deeply, taking in the soft scents of damp earth from the rain last night. You stretched your limbs out as far as they could go, shook for a moment, and then relaxed abruptly. With a sharp exhale, you heaved yourself up out of your warm bed, and stretched again, this time with a yawn, standing on your tippy-toes. You relaxed again and smiled with a sigh. It was a wonderful way to wake up like this you surmised and made your way across the hardwood floor of your studio apartment to your kitchen. You filled up the coffee maker with water and your favorite brand of coffee and let it do its thing while you turned to your refrigerator, lifting your baggy shirt up to scratch your stomach softly. You scanned the mostly barren shelves and decided that something from a cafe might be the best option today, as you had yet to go grocery shopping.
You grabbed the lone container of yogurt from the shelf under the milk, peeled it open, and grabbed a spoon. You began eating it, but quickly realized it was your least favorite flavor, and stuck your tongue out in disgust as you made your way to the trash can. You tossed the container in the bin and the spoon in the dishwasher. With a shake of your head and some light grumbling, you walked back over to your bed and smiled as your dog did her funky little morning stretch, which was not un-similar to yours. She looked up at you with her big, dopey dog smile and gooey eyes.
You grinned.
"You want some breakfast mamas? Yeah?"
She rolled over quickly and looked up at you with wide eyes.
Of course, she wanted breakfast, are you crazy??
She barked once in affirmation. You laughed as she bounded off the bed and began what you called her 'zoomies.' You walked back over the container where you keep her dry kibble and scooped a cup out into her metal bowl, where she sat patiently, waiting for you to give her the command that it was okay to eat.
"Okay, go!" You said, and she started in on her breakfast. You smiled, and walked back to the room portion of your apartment, and opened your dresser to pick out a pair of pants for the day. You settled on a comfortable pair of olive green jeans, with cuffs and a white belt. You opened up your closet and shifted through your shirts, settling on a soft cream-colored t-shirt and oversized denim jacket. You dressed, and did your hair, with some light makeup. It was your day off, you weren't in a hurry. After you got your clothes all done up, you made a grocery list and ordered it all on the store's website to be ready for pickup later today.
With everything important that you had on your list done, you were now noticing the not-so-subtle growling in your stomach. You cringed at the discomfort and gathered your things to leave the house. You gave a brief goodbye to your dog and your betta fish that you had dubbed Larry when you had found him while you were dumpster diving behind Petco.
You pulled on some light gray slip-on's over your rainbow socks and set out the door. You jogged down the steps of your apartment complex and out into the warm Brooklyn sun. You decided to forgo using your car, as the day was nice and the bookstore cafe you were headed to wasn't that far away.
