"Bro-"
"Dude! Did you hear that? George is coming to see us!" Sapnap cried excitedly, not even letting Lilac greet him when she picked up his Discord call.
"I did, that's awesome!" Lilac said, glad he was so excited. Sap had texted her and told her to watch the beginning of George's stream (which she would have done anyway, she'd taken to listening to their streams to keep her company more often), as he had some news to share.
"He's coming down here! To America! To see us! In, like, two days!" Sap said, overflowing with glee.
"Have you guys planned what you're going to do at all?" She asked. "Anything special?"
"Oh my gosh, okay, dude," Sap began, and went on a spree explaining some of the stuff he and Clay had planned to do when George arrived. Lilac sat back and listened, letting Sap ramble as much as he wanted. Half the time he wasn't even making sense; he would cut himself off in the middle of sentences to start other thoughts and never finish the originals, think of new ideas and interject with those every now and again, but it didn't matter. His excitement was tangible.
"Hey, can you turn on your camera?" Lilac asked when he was done talking, and without questioning it, Sap turned his camera on, grinning straight into the lens. Lilac saw him seated at his desk, an enormous smile on his face. She could tell from the lights flashing on his face that he still had George's stream up, just like she did.
"What?" Sap asked, and Lilac looked over at the call screen, totally unaware that she'd turned her camera on, too.
"Nothing," Lilac said, deciding to leave it on, "You just sounded so happy. I wanted to see it." Sap rolled his eyes, but he couldn't hide his smile.
"Weirdo," He said, trying to deflect. Lilac shrugged.
"Call me weird all you want, I'm hyping you up," She said. "You look so lovely when you're happy. I mean, you look lovely all the time, but you glow when you smile like that." A harsh blush and an incredulous smile rippled across Sap's face.
"Stop," He said, shrinking to hide his face in the neckline of his hoodie. Lilac laughed, leaning back in her chair.
"I won't stop, you look amazing and you need to hear it!" Sap swatted the air.
"You're embarrassing me," He said, pushing his face further into the hoodie, and Lilac raised her eyebrows.
"Oh, you think I'm embarrassing you now?" Lilac looked up from her computer screen at her roommate, who had also tuned into George's stream when Lilac told her about Sap's request. Lilac slid one of her headphones from her ear and got Andi's attention.
"Andi, come over here, I've got Sap on camera and he doesn't believe he looks good." Without missing a beat, Andi looked over and spoke up loud enough for Sap to hear.
"I don't even need to look at the screen to tell you he does. Sap always looks good," She complimented, and Lilac laughed as she watched Sap's face turn extremely red. Even so, Andi slid off of her bed and hopped over to Lilac's computer, waving when she was in the camera.
"Sap, ya look fabulous, darling," She said, putting on a strong New Jersey accent. "Such a handsome young man." Lilac grinned at Andi as she returned to her bed, so glad she could count on her roommate to match her sense of humor in every way.
"I can't believe you asked Andi," Sap grumbled, finally pulling his face from his hoodie and blush beginning to recede. "I can't believe you secretly hate me that much that you'd do that to me." Lilac rolled her eyes.
"Dramatic much," She said, dismissing his comment entirely. "You put yourself down too often. I need to remind you that you're hot once in a while since you don't believe it." Sap scoffed, but Lilac noticed that he didn't try to correct her, and she was pleased.
