"You're what?" Andi shrieked.

"I'm going to stream," Lilac informed her with a wide grin. Andi's mouth dropped open.

"And you didn't tell me?"

"I didn't plan it," Lilac shrugged, not really defending herself. "I just woke up and thought to myself, 'it's time to stream some Minecraft'."

"Well, I'm helping you get set up," Andi decided, and Lilac gratefully accepted her help. "Have you even been on?"

"On the SMP?" Lilac guessed as they set things up. "Yeah I have, I've been building a lot in this secret base I have going on..." As they continued setup, Lilac detailed her plan for her base and how it was coming along.

"The hardest part is getting such a ridiculous quantity of dark oak," She sighed, opening Minecraft on one monitor and Twitch on the other. "I was trying to build a tree farm, but my redstone skills are literal garbage, so that's not happening."

"Ask one of the guys to help you, one of them has to be decent at redstone," Andi suggested, but Lilac shook her head.

"Can't do that, then they would figure out where my base is," She said, and Andi conceded. They chatted for a few minutes before Andi had to head out to class. She wished Lilac good luck as she headed out the door, flashing a supportive thumbs up and promising to not pay attention in class so she could watch.

"It's go time, I guess," Lilac said, and pulled up Twitter.

Lilac grinned, shooting her friends individual texts to voice her appreciation for their support. And then, for the first time ever, she clicked the live button on her Twitch channel. Part of her wanted to look at the viewer count, but she decided against it. She wasn't streaming as a job; it was for fun, and numbers made it un-fun, so she kept them off. She kept her camera off, too; the jitters of showing her face on camera would also contribute to the un-fun-ness. Even so, the number of new names flooding through chat surpassed her expectations, and were enough to tell her that there were quite a few people present.

"Welcome everyone! Thank you so much for coming to my first stream," She said, greeting everyone. Lilac smiled as the chat filled with support, kind messages, excitement, and several hundred 'first stream pog's. Some people kept asking for her to show her face, but she explained immediately that she wouldn't be doing that, and that they'd have to be satisfied with just her voice for the time being.
