Lilac awoke with a smile, which she realized was quickly becoming a norm in her life. There were so many things to be happy about, to be thankful for. So many of the things that had kept her down for so long were being turned around. Minecraft used to bring her down- every time she thought about it she'd be reminded of the sickness that came with it. While it still happened, she could be glad that it had brought her so many new friends. She hadn't even realized how much she had been missing Sap, and now she was here with him, in person, along with George and Clay.

What more could a girl ask for?

Breakfast!, her stomach yelled at her. Lilac grinned to herself, swinging out of bed. She threw on a pair of sweatpants and a red t-shirt that was as old as she was, shuffling over to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

"Breakfast it is," She decided as she finished up in the bathroom. She threw open her room door, waltzing down the stairs to the beat of a song playing in her head. To absolutely no one's shock, none of the boys were in the kitchen, which gave Lilac the perfect idea.

"Surprise breakfast for the boys?" She proposed the idea to herself out loud, nodding immediately. "Of course, surprise breakfast for the boys." She shuffled around the kitchen for a bit, familiarizing herself with the way Sap and Clay organized their spices. As it turned out (which wasn't really surprising), they didn't have all the spices she needed. Lilac pulled open cabinets and drawers until she found a pen and paper, jotting down all the missing ingredients and humming as she worked. She checked and triple-checked that she wasn't missing anything, and then went down the hall to Sap's room. She knocked lightly on the door and heard a disapproving grunt from within.

"Clay, it's too early to start the stream," She heard him mumble, and Lilac bit back (the majority of) her laughter.

"It's me," She said.

"Oh," He said, sleepiness lathering his voice. "Come in." Lilac pushed the door open gently, slipping through and closing it behind her.

"Morning, sunshine," She greeted. Sap fell back onto his pillow since he'd sat up when she came in, grumbling.

"It's too early," Sap informed her.

"Too early for me to make your favorite breakfast?" She asked, and Sap sat right back up, suddenly much more alert.

"You're making pumpkin pancakes?" He asked, and Lilac shushed him.

"Yes, but I want it to be a surprise for Clay and George. Don't spoil it," She instructed, and Sap nodded, rubbing his eyes and waking up fully.

"You should have started with that," Sap said. "Anyone would get out of bed for your regular pancakes, but the pumpkin pancakes?" Sap did a little dance with his arms in celebration, making Lilac giggle.

"Thank you, but there's a problem," She told him. "It was supposed to be a surprise for everyone, you included, but you don't have any pumpkin, allspice, or a few other things." Sap looked over to his desk where his keys were.

"I need to change and brush my teeth and stuff, but what do you say we make it like old times? Go down to the store and get ingredients together?" Lilac smiled, remembering all the times her mother had sent them out with her dad to get things for dinner. Those were some of her favorite memories, tearing up and down the aisles while her father kept an eye on them.

"Of course," She said. "I need to go change, too, but do you think George or Clay will want to come?" Sap shrugged.

"George's sleep schedule is even more destroyed than usual and Clay's still dead to the world," He said. "But they can come if they're awake enough to."
