Kunimi puts in effort only if his boyfriend needs his help, sickness is a perfect exception

Kindaichi's week has felt like hell, he should've known better from not wearing more clothing during the cold weather that has been forming, now he's paying the consequence by being in his bed with the most killer headache, a small white towel on his forehead, and a runny nose. His blanket lazily hung over his head.

  He couldn't sleep, his head had hurt so bad, the boy hadn't taken his disgusting grape flavour medicine which thinking about it made him sick even more, but he knows that it'll be better for him so he had no other choice but to take it, stubbornly.

At this point, he was bored, needed to be accompanied by someone so he could feel comforted, he grabbed his phone on his side and scrolled through the contacts till he found the person he was looking for.

  He smiled looking at the contact and pressed 'call' and waited till the person had answered.

"Hey Nimi, do you mind coming over now?" He asked, sniffing from his runny nose.

"Hey Kin, I don't mind...are you okay? you sound like you're crying?"

  "Yes, Nimi I'm fine! I just have a small cold that's all." Kindaichi beamed laughing a bit. Excited knowing that Kunimi will be arriving shortly.

  "Okay Kin if you say so, I'll be coming soon, sit tight." Kunimi smiled to himself ending the call.

Kindaichi waited patiently, knowing that his boyfriend can be stubborn and sluggish at times, he took all the time to sit tightly just like Kunimi had said. He was now scrolling through his phone trying to kill time.

The more he messed around on his phone was the more his head started to ache, he clicked his tongue, annoyed, and switched it off and laid back down, resting his eyelids hoping the ache would calm down, coughing violently after that.

Kunimi now was in front of Kindaichi's house, just thinking that they'll cuddle and lazy out for the rest of the day. Not thinking too much of the fact that he is a little sick. (bestie is in for a surprise. 🤪)

He walked inside and made it to Kindaichi's room and knocked on his door.

"Kin baby I'm here," Kunimi whispered, walking into his room.

"Kunimi bubs! You're here at last! Kindaichi cheered, hearing his voice and holding out his arms inviting the other male to lay on his chest.

Kunimi was just about to pounce on his boyfriend, till he saw his face...he looked way more than 'a little sick.' His eyes were glossy, nose red, hair completely flat with a white towel on his forehead, and a big tissue box on his nightstand table.

"Kin..." Kunimi sighed looking at the vulnerable state of his boyfriend, feeling horrible.

Kindaichi pouted, feeling sad that the younger male won't accept his invitation to cuddle him. Till he spoke up.

"Nimi come, please! I want you here!" He exclaimed arms still out, patience slowly crippling away, he had already waited nearly fifteen minutes for Kunimi to arrive and now he's complementing whether cuddling him or not.

An idea popped in Kunimi's mind, so he exited the bedroom, speed walking to the kitchen grabbing what he had bought that was in a plastic bag.

Kindaichi was left in bed—he thought that Kunimi figured out that he was too sick and wouldn't also want to be sick if they cuddled. He dropped his head, feeling his nose running more and immediately grabbing a tissue on his side and blowing his nose.

  But Kunimi on the other hand had just returned from where he left the plastic bag in the kitchen and made his way to Kindaichi's room and closed the door—Kindaichi looked up when he heard footsteps, still pouting but smiled when he saw Kunimi standing with? What seems like food?

  Kindaichi raised his eyebrow in confusion but looked at Kunimi coming to him and sitting next to him on the bed.

  Kindaichi realized that the food that the other boy was holding was salted caramel ice cream, which Kunimi bought two spoons with. His eyes immediately sparkled which Kunimi couldn't help but chuckle seeing his reaction, he opened the tub and took a scoop of the milky cream and guided it to the older boy's mouth.

  Kindaichi blushed, and turned his head the other, he's supposed to be the one always taking care of Kunimi but him feeding him was completely new, not knowing how to feel.

  "Come on Kin, don't be stuck up and let me feed you." Kunimi trying to put the spoon in his mouth.

  "No! I'm supposed to feed you when you're sick!" He argued

  "Well I'm not sick, now stop being stubborn." Kunimi sighed.

  Kindaichi huffed, feeling defeated, and turned his head back and open his mouth waiting for the cold creamy goodness to be in his mouth. Kunimi smiled when he cooperated.

  Kindaichi looked at the other boy, the cold cream melting in his mouth when he said:

  "You really don't have to do this Nimi..." Kindaichi muttered.

  "No Kin, I want to—I have to, what kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't take care of you?"

  Kindaichi teared up hearing such a response, Kunimi saw his eyes filled with faint tears, almost falling out, so he hurriedly put the ice cream down and grabbed a tissue from the tissue box next to him and wiped his eyes.

  "You're so cute Nimi!" Kindaichi cried pushing the younger boy's back against the bed. Kunimi wrapped his arms around the other boy's neck and laughed.

"You're more adorable Kin," Kunimi said pulling his head up and stroking his cheeks. "Now get up, let's finish the ice cream, so we can cuddle, who cares if you're sick."

Kindaichi beamed brightly once again, coughing a little after that. Kunimi giggled grabbing the ice cream from the side and feeding both him and the other boy till the tub was finished.

Kunimi put the things where they are rightfully needed and went back to the bedroom, flopping onto the bed. Kindaichi chuckled, picking up the younger boy and laying him on his chest, just like a cat. Glad that he's not feeling anymore headaches from eating the ice cream.

"I love you, you big bear." Kunimi sighed smiling, while playing with the other boy's long sleeved shirt.

"I love you more, baby bear." He responded squeezing Kunimi more and Kunimi curling up to him more, both males relaxing in each other's embrace.
