Kindaichi has gotten way to popular for his own good and Kunimi's jealous.

For the past few months, Kindaichi has gotten popular around campus, and I mean really popular. At first, it was just teammates and colleagues that saw him daily and knew him until it shifted to people that he saw but barely knew personally that started talking to him.

And in all honesty, it's been bothering Kunimi lately. It was now impossible to walk through campus without someone approaching Kindaichi and starting small talk with him, and what makes it worse is that no one even acknowledges Kunimi when they can very clearly see that he's with Kindaichi at the moment.

Not like that bothered him anyway, he'd rather have no attention from anyone, talking takes a lot of energy. But Kindaichi is a nice guy, he's good with his words, has a bright smile, and charming without trying. He had every characteristic that made him easy to approach and just perfect. Probably one of the many things that made Kunimi fall in love with him.

But, his perfect features weren't the only thing that stole people's hearts. It was hard to notice all the eyes on him, even though Kindaichi doesn't pay attention as his attention is mostly on Kunimi. It's hard for Kunimi not to notice all the stares, whispers, and giggles on them, or more specifically, on Kindaichi. All of it was setting Kunimi off.

Sure. It was possessive, but some people couldn't take a hint and they continued to swoon over Kindaichi, which made it exceedingly satisfying to Kunimi whenever he linked arms with him and when he gladly accepted it. Seeing their faces drop was like the cherry on top.

One day, Kunimi was waiting for Kindaichi to waltz over to their apartment after a day of school and practice. He's looking forward to his arrival, after school days, some rest and quality time is something essential for the both of them.

But today, he was questionably late, he would always let Kunimi know when he's coming home before when he's out so a few minutes late to his curfew was unusual to him.

Before it could get too deep into Kunimi's head, his attention turned to the front door when he heard the key rattling and there stood Kindaichi, looking just stunningly handsome with no effort.

Kunimi tried not to rush over to him and hurt himself in the process and instead sped walked and engulfed him in a hug, he wrapped his arms around his neck and pressed his nose against it. Taking in the familiar smell of his signature cologne and cheap shampoo he used every morning.

He felt a sweet kiss on his head and a warm hand rubbing his back soothingly. Kunimi could stay like this forever, just him, Kindaichi, some blankets and pillows were his definitions of heaven. No worries, just peace and warmth with the person he loves the most.

"How was your day?" His sweet gumdrop voice filled with gentleness spoke.

"Good, even better now that you're here." Kunimi hushed against his ear. Kindaichi chuckled, a hoarse laugh, from the back of his throat that always made Kunimi's heart burst into flame.

"That's nice to know." Another kiss to the head.

"Why were you late today?"

Kindaichi stopped rummaging around the fridge and rubbed his face. Telling Kunimi was something he was avoiding. "You won't like it."

Kunimi furrowed his brows, "Tell me."
