Kindaichi scoffed annoyed as he sent that final message to Kunimi threatening to block him. After ignoring him all week long he suddenly wants him to come home and be with him? Right after he's not been the one doing that. He was just aggravated by his selfish behaviour and giving him a taste of his own medicine was just what he wanted at the moment.

He threw his phone lightly to the side as a sign of not responding to what Kunimi will text next and that he won't be opening his phone. He sighed as he continued holding the controller of Kageyama's PlayStation and playing whatever boss fight was coming up.

Kageyama's ears perked up as he heard the other boy sigh and decided to question him about it.

"You okay?" He asked, genuinely curious. Just by looking at Kindaichi's eyes, he could tell something was up.

"Uhm yeah, it's nothing, really." Kindaichi laughed breathlessly, cheeks becoming slightly pink by the sudden question.

"It's him, isn't it?" Kageyama stated, he could read Kindaichi just as well as Kunimi can, well maybe not 'just as well.' But good enough.

Kindaichi's face became redder as he heard what he said, and yes, when he arrived at Kageyama's place, he had told him everything that has been happening at home. It was hard not to, he was so alone that finally being able to talk to someone was just so relieving and it was hard not letting his mouth get the best of him.

And what made it better was that Kageyama actually listened, he actually felt sympathy for him. Seeing that he actually cared made Kindaichi feel touched, and without even thinking twice he hugged him. Once he realized he apologized with a reddened face, only making Kageyama laugh in response.

After hearing wholeheartedly what he had to say he let Kindaichi have a seat and start up the game they'll be playing. And in the corner of his eyes, he could see Kindaichi grinning happily which made him smile, happy to be accompanied as well.

After he asked the question, Kageyama continued to look at Kindaichi's red face anticipating an answer. Kindaichi could just feel his curious eyes darting at him only making him feel more anxious. Suddenly a quiet chuckle broke the silence.

"Dude, just answer the question, yes or no? No need to get so flustered." Kageyama teased, he still remembered Kindaichi for being very easily nervous.

"I- Uhm-" Kindaichi stuttered, glancing at Kageyama to see if he was still staring at him, and to his fate, he was, with his sharp dark blue eyes. When they made eye contact Kindaichi quickly looked away, face becoming even redder than it was.

Kageyama quirked an eyebrow at him, slightly amused as he observed how the other boy played around with his fingers and face heated with a simple question.

Kindaichi couldn't handle the pressure, Kageyama's eyes were staring through his soul and weren't tearing away, his body became stiff until finally, he yelled the anticipated answer.

  "Yes!"

Kindaichi flinched, that was way too loud. Without even second-guessing, he immediately apologized to Kageyama for startling him.
