Kunimi is just bad at arcade games. That's why a shallot-head named Yuutarou Kindaichi exists, to make him happy!

  Kunimi walked around the arcade becoming bored, he had played most of the games that he found fun and couldn't find anything that piqued his interest anymore.

  He tried to look for Kindaichi but the huddling crowds said otherwise. So with nothing to do, he took an empty seat he found and sat.

  Pulling out the gaming card from his pocket, he thought. He still had money in it and was able to still play, he just didn't know what to spend it on.

  His eyes trailed around the colourful luminous lights all over the arcade and until they landed on the claw machines filled with various trinkets and prizes.

  He found one with stuffed animals and shrugged. Might as well spend it on a claw machine.

  He got to the machine that was filled with many stuffed animals and looked for one that he liked and could get.

  Until one caught his eyes.

  It was a blue dolphin stuffed animal that looked extremely soft with glass eyes. It was perfect, he wanted it.

  He immediately took out the card after putting it back in his pocket and slid it to generate the machine. He grabbed the handle and watched carefully as the crane guided to where the dolphin was.

  He carefully pressed the big red button to make sure it caught the dolphin and to his luck, it did! Kunimi watched ecstatically as the toy he wanted was being picked up by the crane, his eyes sparkled as it came next to the chute where he could get it.

  Suddenly with one sudden slip of the crane, the toy came falling down and was now once again in the huddle of other stuffed animals.

  Kunimi felt his smile fade slowly as he saw it fall and huffed, he's not going to give up now. He's not leaving the arcade without that dolphin.

  He slid the card again and moved the handle to where the dolphin fell and took a deep breath before pressing the big red button again.

  He pressed the button and watched with anticipation as the crane followed to where he guided it. His eyes followed every subtle direction the crane went.

  Once it came to the dolphin, it dropped down to grab it, Kunimi could feel the slight hint of pride and thrilling sight of getting the dolphin.

  Until the pang of disappointment washed over him when the crane completely missed the toy. He pouted sadly as he eyed the crane going back up.

  He thought about giving up but rejected the thought, he was not about to back out. Frustratedly taking out the card once again from his pocket and slid it to get game approval from the machine.

  He was going to get it this time. For sure.

  His expectations didn't become a reality when his eyes found themselves looking up at the crane coming up once again from loss.

  Now instead of becoming sad, he was becoming mad. He clicked his tongue sliding the card once again to get his dolphin.

  Kunimi furrowed his brows in concentration as he guided the handle and the crane to where the dolphin was and hesitated to press the red button. Examining it before he decided against pressing it.

  As he was examining it, a loud voice bellowed towards his direction making Kunimi shriek and without thinking, made him press the red button.

  "Hey, Akira!" Kindaichi chirped as he stood in front of Kunimi after searching for him for so long.

  Kunimi looked up at him scowling from both scaring him and making him lose his focus. His eyes moved to the machine where he had once again, failed to get the dolphin. He scrambled to get the gaming card again and slid it but it wouldn't work.

  He finished up all his game opportunities to get his dolphin and failed at all chances.

Slouching his shoulders in disappointment and unhappiness, Kunimi walked away looking down, "Come, let's go home."

  Kindaichi frowned when he saw the other boy upset, he caught up with him and grabbed his hand, Kunimi looked at him confused as he was being pulled back to the claw machine.

  "Which one do you want?"

  Kunimi blinked while walking back to the machine and pointing to the dolphin he wanted. Kindaichi smiled at him as he slid his card and gripped the handle.

  Kunimi watched tentatively as his boyfriend worked his hands on the handle and watched Kindaichi's eyes concentrate on guiding the crane to the dolphin toy he wanted.

  And with one final press of the red button, the crane came winding down and the claw of the crane caught the toy, dropping it, and finally winding back up.

  Kunimi's eyes sparkled once again and almost jumped on Kindaichi once the plush came down the chute.

  He excitedly went to grab the dolphin and hugged it, pulling Kindaichi in to join the hug as well.

  "Thank you, Kin!"

Kindaichi, by instinct, hugged Kunimi by his waist. Feeling immensely proud that he was able to make Kunimi happy.
