" Oh for fuck's sake, stop fucking moving! " I growled out in frustration.

We were currently in the supply room at the back of the bar. By 'we' I mean me, Ryan, Evan, Jenny, Sophia, Noah, Sam, and a very irritating Jack. The rest of the bar was closed down after everyone had left. It was a good thing that no one had gotten hurt in that chaos.

" Why are you tying me up anyways, Tiana. I already told you I wasn't working for Stella. She threatened me, " Jack almost shouted. I threw him a deathly glare, " One more word from that filthy mouth of yours and I swear to God! For the hundredth time, my name is Evelyn! " I growled while staring him down.

" If you're Evelyn then who the fuck is Tiana?" He shouted back. I groaned. This man was getting on my nerves! " Shut up! " I yelled. He recoiled at my volume.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned back to see Ryan standing behind me. "Calm down, Eve. " I sighed heavily. I turned back and locked my eyes onto Jack's.

"Look, Jack, just because you helped me with those men out there doesn't mean I'm gonna suddenly believe that you're trustworthy. You've broken my trust before and I don't trust again easily. If you really are who you say you are, then you'll have to prove it. " I said calmly, maintaining eye contact with him.

Jack gulped before replying, " Tiana, I... I mean Evelyn, I know I fucked up once before. I hurt you really bad but trust me when I say this, I'm not that man anymore. I have a family on the line this time. I have a daughter on the way Evelyn, and my pregnant fiance is Stella's hostage. I would never lie. "

I looked away from his eyes. The sincerity in them was something I hadn't seen in those eyes before and that was making me anxious. Ryan put his hand back on my shoulder comfortingly as if sensing that I was on the edge with my emotions.

Hearing Jack talk about her brought back all the extra hurt and pain that I had gone through in the past year. He was the first person I had ever opened up to. He was the first person I had ever trusted with my emotions after my parent's death. He was the first person I thought I had loved after them. But he betrayed me. He cheated on me.

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. Why did everyone always leave me behind? Was I so unwanted? A small tear threatened to fall from my eye but I quickly looked up and blinked rapidly to stop it. He would never see me cry again.

Taking a deep breath I looked back at Jack, this time with a blank face with no emotions. If I didn't mean anything to him then he didn't either. " Very well Jack. I'm only gonna ask this once, what do you know about Stella's plan? Spill everything right now. " I asked him in a cold voice.

His eyes softened at the change in my demeanor as if he understood me, " Look, Evelyn, I- " He tried to apologize or whatever, but I cut him off, " I don't need any kind of an explanation from you, Jack, I never did. You know exactly what you did and in my opinion, there can never be an appropriate excuse for cheating on someone you claim to be in love with. So let's do each other a favor by not talking about it. I'm giving you a chance to prove to me that you're not Stella's minion, take it before I put a bullet through your head myself. " I sneered in a cold voice.
