" Are you sure Doctor? Is he really okay? " Alex's desperate voice along with Luna's silent sobs of relief floated through the hallway. I was still sitting on the hospital bench, my brain almost incapable of processing the news.
He was alive. He was okay.
" Are you family, sir? " The doctor asked in a gentle tone. I lifted my head slightly to see Alex nod his head frantically, " Yes. I'm his father. " The doctor frowned a little and then turned her attention to me with a questioning look on her face. Wiping my tears with the back of my hand, I stood up on my shaky feet. " Yes, doctor. They're the parents. They just got here. " The polite lady nodded at me and then over to them.
" Well, I'm Dr. Ritsburg and Mr. Matthew's surgery was successful. We dissolved the small clot that had formed in his brain due to the injury and gave him 76 stitches in the skull and 17 on the forehead. We'll have to keep him under careful observation for a few days here and then he'll require lots of rest.... "
