" Did you take everything you need? " Ryan asked. This was the tenth time he was asking me this. He was rushing around the room trying to gather up his things, fussing over the fact that he didn't want to leave anything behind. I was sitting on his bed, my legs crossed and my bag already on my shoulders.
I was watching him with an amused expression on my face. " At least we know who is more organized and punctual in this relationship. " I said in a teasing voice. He turned around and narrowed his eyes at me. I stuck my tongue out playfully. The next thing I know he was on me and I was laughing loudly because he was tickling me by rubbing his light stubble on my neck.
It had been two days since we talked to his parents that night and today we were leaving for Portland. Evan and the others were supposed to be here any minute now. We had hired a travel bus so we could all travel together. Mia and Aiden would meet us there itself. I hope they were enjoying their little vacay, just not too much, though, you know what I mean?
I pushed Ryan off of me still struggling to catch my breath from all the laughing. He was laughing lightly himself. Turning on his side, he propped his head upon his arm and looked down at me. He lifted his hand and gently stroked my cheek, " You ready for this? " I smiled brightly. I nodded my head. I was ready.
He leaned down and placed a soft lingering kiss on my lips. I smiled into the kiss. The last two days had been the best in my life. I hadn't had any nightmares because Ryan held me close to his chest throughout the night. He had also taken me on a date and everything about it had been perfect. I was loving this new feeling.
We heard a loud honk. " That must be our ride. You sure you have everything you need? " I shook my head in amusement and kissed him on the cheek. " Yes, we have everything we'll need. It's just a small road trip Ryan. We're not moving over there. " He pouted playfully and I laughed.
Together we walked down with our small luggage. Opening the door, we were welcomed with warm smiles on everyone's faces. I beamed back. Jenny suddenly narrowed her eyes at me and my eyebrows furrowed up. She clutched my hand in hers and pulled me towards the back of our bus.
" Jen, what's wrong? " I asked in a worried voice. She looked at me with a mischievous smile on her face, " Really, babes. You're gonna play the innocent card on me! " I narrowed my eyes a little, " What do you mean? " She rolled her eyes. " He kissed you, didn't he? " My eyes widened and I almost choked on air.
Jenny giggled at my reaction, " Oh babes, did I strike the bullseye? " She asked with a teasing smile on her face. My cheeks flushed as I felt all the blood rush to my face. " Oh my god! You're blushing! He did kiss you, didn't he?! " She almost shouted. " Keep it down Jen. " "Oops, sorry. Tell me everything! " She whisper-yelled. I laughed at her cuteness.
" He may or may not have asked me out two days ago, " I mumbled. This time she squealed so loudly that Sophia came running to us. " What's going on? " She asked in a panicked voice but Jenny completely ignored her. " He did what? And what did you do? Please tell me you said yes! " She squealed making me laugh even more. " Of course I said yes. " " Oh hell yeah!" Jenny jumped and hugged me.
