" Mr. Matthews, I have a deal to offer to you and your fellow bandmates. Are you interested? " Mr. Adrian Foster asked in a polite professional voice.
Ryan turned to look at me with confused eyes. I smiled and nodded at him in reassurance. He frowned slightly before turning his attention back to Adrian. " What kind of a deal, sir? "
Adrian then gave me a knowing look and I quickly understood what he wanted me to do. Looking back over at everyone else in the room, who were watching this conversation with inquisitive eyes, I informed in an apologetic tone, " Guys, this is kind of a confidential thing, so please don't mind it, but I'll have to ask you all to wait for us in the living room downstairs. I'm sorry. Boys you need to stay back with us. "
Jenny groaned in protest and Sophia pouted at me. Mia was extremely close to bursting into tears, damn her pregnancy hormones. I looked at their sullen expressions and sighed dramatically, " You can go out, have a shopping spree, take any car that you want from the garage? " I offered with a cheesy smile on my face. They looked at each other with suppressed smiles and after exchanging knowing glances turned back to me. Jenny chirped in, " We want a girl's night too afterward and it would be on our terms! " She gave me a challenging look making me roll my eyes and nod begrudgingly.
Their eyes widened and they squealed in excitedly, making their boyfriends laugh at their childish acts while I just stood there shaking my head in amusement. Chatting and giggling among themselves, most definitely already planning their supposed girls' night, they walked out of the room.
Alex stepped ahead and clapped Ryan on the back, " Decide wisely, Son. I'm proud of you. " Ryan's face broke out into a huge grin and he nodded at his father's advice. Alex placed a small kiss on my forehead and then stepped outside with his wife and took the whining twins along with. Michael clapped Evan's back proudly and looked at him with tears in his eyes. I laughed lightly at these emotional dads.
Once everyone stepped outside and it was just me, Adrian, and the boys in the room, Ryan spoke up again, " What is going on? "
Adrian smiled, " I have a deal for you, son. " Ryan nodded carefully and then cocked his head to one side, " And what are you offering, sir? " Adrian's old eyes crinkled, " I like this one, Evelyn. Where did you find him? " I chuckled at his words, " Oh I just happened to bump into him at a bar in Downtown Seattle, no biggie." Ryan's grin turned mischievous and I winked back at him.
" The deal, Son, is that I'm offering your band a break in the music industry. " All the four boys took in a collective breath at hearing that and their eyes automatically snapped in my direction. I laughed at the shocked expressions on their faces. Ryan threw me a disbelieving look and I blew him a small kiss making him shake his head incredulously.
" What? " Ryan asked, his voice shaking a little with apprehension. Noah's eyes were as wide as soccer balls, Aiden's look told me that he was completely blown out of his mind and Evan looked dumbfounded. Mr. Foster chuckled lightly at the boys' expressions, " Yes, son. You see this girl over here, she's the jewel of my label. And she's like a daughter to me. She tells me that you boys are phenomenal at your job and so I have decided to give you a chance. "
