"So, in case you couldn't tell, there was a big battle here." We're sitting in a newly repaired part of Hogwarts, and Remus is now staring directly at me. My mind is spinning. All these people are expecting answers; answers I don't have. Like what the fuck. Seriously, what do they think I'm going to say? I was literally teleported here from my dad's- I freeze, and suddenly I can't breathe as I remember what happened just before I landed in a pile of my own sick in the middle of Hogwarts. "Venus? Are you alright?" Remus is by my side, holding me up and looking at me, concerned. "My dad- angry- knife-"I gasp, shaking.
"Hey, hey, it's alright, you're not there anymore. You're safe." Somehow I'm sitting on the ground, and Remus is still supporting me. Tonks is holding me, and I'm able to breathe again. I'm ok, I'm ok. I really am. Well, not ok, but hey, at least I landed in Hogwarts with the ability to bring back my favorite characters and not back in the kitchen with my angry knife-wielding dad. I try to breathe, in then out, like my therapist taught me. "Venus, love, is there any way I can help you? That's a nasty wound you've got there."
Startled, I glance up. Tonks point at my neck. "There, on your neck? I can't believe no one's said anything about it yet."
I crane my neck to try and see what she's pointing at, but I can't see it. I reach my hand up, and I feel a deep slash mark still sticky with blood. "I'm honestly surprised it didn't kill you, dear."
My words surprise even me. "But it did."
