From the Grave

Chapter Ten

"Padfoot?" Remus asks unbelieving. "But-how- I saw you die. You're dead!" His voice breaks, and he stops, overcome with emotion. Sirius places his hands on Remus's shoulders and looks him in the eyes. "Hey," he says gently. "I'm here. I'm as alive as you are. Venus brought us both back, and I couldn't be more grateful to them." He turns to me as Remus continues to stare at him in disbelief. "Venus, I presume?"
"Uh, yeah. But it was really Professor Trelawny. Her voice was in my head telling me what to do."
"Trelawny!?" Sirius leaps towards the Great Hall, but Remus catches him and holds him back. "Sirius, wait. We don't have the full picture yet. We don't know what we're up against. Think about it. If Trelawny can resurrect people, she could bring back Voldemort and we'd be right back where we started. Or any of the Death Eaters and evil wizards she wants. We need to keep this information to ourselves for now until we can figure out what to do with it."
"I'm telling George," Fred says firmly.
"All right."
"And Lee." He adds.
"No! Just George." Fred sighs, but says nothing more. The others make plans to meet in secret tonight, but I'm hardly listening as I watch Sirius and Remus together. Sirius is draped over Remus, and because he's so much shorter, he's practically piggybacking the werewolf. Remus says nothing but reaches one hand up and absentmindedly strokes Sirius's hair as he talks. Tonks, Fred and I are nearly beside ourselves as we watch the two. I can't believe what I'm seeing. They're so cute together! Everything that's happened so far was worth it to see these two together. Eventually Sirius sees us watching them. He smirks, leans over, and kisses Remus, hard. Remus stumbles backwards in surprise but then he kisses him back. Tonks lets out a loud squeal, and Fred's hooting in delight. I watch everything with a huge grin on my face.
