KSJ went from there. He wanted to talk to Anirudh but Bondita's kasam stopped him. He went to his room. Here, Bondita was very disturbed. She could not sleep. She was continuously thinking that she will be away from her family, that family which loved her more than her mayka. Thinking about all this, she went to sleep finally. That night was very sad for KSJ too. He could not think of separting from his beloved bahu. He thought how everything in the haveli changed after Bondita came. How their haveli changed to a home after arrival. On the other side, Anirudh was wandering why he was not happy by sending Bondita dalhousie. There was some ache in his heart but he was not aware about it.
Next day, the interviewer Mr. Basu came. Anirudh called Bondita. Bondita came down in his study. He introduced him to her.
Mr. Basu:- Good Morning Mrs. Bondita. Please have a seat.
Bondita:- Good Morning Sir. Thankyou(she sits.)
Mr. Basu:- Ok, to sabse pehle mughe yeh bataiye aap Mrs. Bondita ki ham aapko kyu apne hostel mein dakhila dein? Kyu aana chahti hain hostel mein padhne?
Bondita:- Sir, main hostel isiliye jana chahti hu taaki main achche se padh saku aur khud ko Barrister Babu Bondita Roy Chaudhary. Aur main baaki ladkiyon ke liye prerna bhi banna chahti hu jo padhna to chahti hai lekin unhe mauka hi nhi milta. Main chahti hu ki sab ladkiyan itni kamyaab aur layak bane ki koi bhi purush KOI BHI unhe apne hukum pe na chla sake, unse pooche bina kuch nirnay na le sake(seeing anirudh).
Mr. Basu:- Wow, i am impressed. Aapki ruchi konse vishayon mein hain aur kyu?
Bondita:- Meri ruchi ganit, aur itihaas mein sabse zyada hai. Itihaas hamein yeh sikhata hai ki pehle loogon ne konsi konsi galtiyan ki thi taaki ham vahi galtiyan na dohraayein kyuki kehte hain na ki itihaas apne aap ko dohrata hai. Itehaas yeh bhi batata hai ki logon ne kitni koshishein ki galat cheezon ko theek karne ki, kuritiyon ko todne ki.
Mr. Basu:- Very good. Ab aakhiri sawaal. Wahan hostel mein sab purushon se aap pratispardha kaise karengi?
Bondita:- Ham mahilaein purushon se kayi adhik kaabil hoti hain. Kyuki aurtein ghar sambhalti hai, sab logon ko sambhalti hain aur kayi kaarya ek saath karne ki shamta rakhi hai. Vo agar sneh kar sakti hai to zarurat padne pe durga maa ka rup bhi le sakti hain. To pratispardha mein peeche kaise reh sakti hain.
Mr. Basu:- Bahut badiya. I am impressed. (He calls Anirudh). Mr. Anirudh, your wife is very intelligent. Maine aaj tak itna achcha tark karne waali aur nidar aurat nahi dekhi. Main inhe select karta hun. Kal hi aap inhe bhej dijiega. Ab main chalta hun. Koi bhi prashn ho to telephone kar lijiega. (He goes).
Anirudh and Bondita get shocked on hearing that Bondita has to go tomorrow.
Anirudh:- Bondita. BRAVO! Tumne bahut achchi interview di. Aur tum kal chali jaao......(Bondita without listening and saying anything goes from there.)
Anirudh to himself:- Bondita kal chali jaaegi. Kaise bataun Bondita ki tumhe kitne yaad karunga main. Kaise rahunga tumhare bina. Lekin, tumhare bhavishya se upar kuch nhi mere liye. Main seh lunga.
Bondita ran into her room and locked the door.
Bondita:- (Crying) Kal main chali jaaungi sabse dur. Kaise rahungi sabke bina. Itni dur akele jaana hoga. Kyu kar rhe hain pati babu aisa. Lekin mughe ab kamzor nahi hona hai. Yehi tareeka hai apne atma samman ko bachane ka. Main jaaungi. Kal hi jaaungi.(Again cries).
Anirudh calls everyone down. But Bondita didnt't go down because she thought Anirudh will again do something with Manorama. Everyone gathered.
Anirudh:- Aap sab ke liye ek khush khabri hai. Aaj Dalhousie hostel se Mr. Basu aaye the interview lene ke liye Bondita ka. Aur unhone Bondita ko chun liya hai. Bondita kal hi jaaegi hostel. (Everyone shcoked.)
KSJ:- Kya????Kal hi? Lekin itni jaldi kyu? Kuch din ruk nahi sakte kya?Us afsar ko bolo thode din ruk jaaein.
Anirudh:- Nahi kaka. Kal hi jaana hoga nahi to phir Bondita ka dakhila nahi hoga. Lekin aap chinta na karein. Main chod ke aaunga use wahan surakshit.
KSJ:- Nahi! Tum nahi jaaoge. Hum tumhe aur dukhi nahi karne denge bahu ko. Tum nahi jaaoge bas.
Anirudh:- Lekin kyu kaka? Main nahi jaaunga to kaun jaaega.
KSJ:- HUM JAAENGE. Tum nahi jaaoge. Ruko, abhi bahu ko bulate hain. BAHU!
Bondita was packing her bags. She heard KSJ's voice and came down. Before KSJ could say anything, Anirudh spoke up.
Anirudh:- Bondita main kal tumhe chod ke aaunga hostel. Theek hai?
Bondita:- NAHI! Main khud chali jaaungi. Chalak babu mughe station par chod denge. Wahan se main chala jaaungi.
(Anirudh was shocked. He could not believe Bondita said. His heart cried.)
KSJ:- Bahu, tum akeli nhi jaaoge. Anirudh nhi jaaega lekin hum to jaa sakte hain na apni bahu ko chodne.
Bondita:- Theek hai KSJ.
