Ok so in my head, I constantly have this mental list of scenes with dark and clear I wanna get in before this book ends, even though that's like a whole year away. I will sit on these for a very long time, it's a long waiting game. But anyway, you should see almost all of these in the story by the time this story ends.

*Clearsight says "stay in the present with me" when he's having a bad day, and can't stop thinking about the past, and helping him through. Like she does what he always does for her when she's anxious, and he finally lets her care for him!!! Idk, she stays by his side until he feels better, and then gets him his favourite snacks, and tries her best to cheer him up, and insists he take it easy for the rest of the day

*They discuss having kids again after the war is over, right before the final battle at the end, but Clearsight just asks him, "Would you ever wanna try again?" really quietly, and grabs onto his hand, and he's quiet for a while, and then he sorta tears up and says, "Yeah, I would" and they both exchange a little smile, and that's all they need to say.

*Post-war (idk if this is gonna happen in this book, but if I write an epilogue novella maybe this could happen in there) lazy days together, just hanging out around the house alone, while the kids are at school, and not having to worry about the whole world falling apart if they stop to rest for a little while.

*Post-war, they move into their new house together and go through old keepsakes from their school years, idk, they assemble an IKEA lamp together and fight over the instructions. (I know dragons probably don't have ikea, but I can dream ok)

*Darkstalker telling her when she's feeling insecure or down on herself that she's good enough, and there's nothing wrong with her, and her finally being able to believe him!!!

*They sneak away from their guards and go on a date

*Clearsight celebrating Darkstalker's birthday and pampering him, rather than the other way around like we see a lot more, and it's awkward in the cutest way possible

*Clearsight giving Darkstalker flowers!! Not for any special occasion, just for the hell of it

*They get really drunk together and antics ensue

*They try to cook something together, and Darkstalker, like, holds her hands and guides her a little bit, and it turns out super well!! I headcanon after the war, Clearsight finally learns to cook, ish, Darkstalker has a lot of fun showing her how to do everything

*Ok so I have this friend who loves board games, and when she plays them, she gets SCARY. Like normally she's the nicest person, but put her in front of a game of Catan and she becomes a supervillain, and I like to think that's what Darkstalker's like too--so I want him to repeat one of his villain monologues in canon to Clearsight but they're playing chess in bed one quiet evening to unwind, and it's like

Darkstalker, cackling manaically: HAHA  YES THAT'S RIGHT, BOW BEFORE MY EVIL PLAN! THIS CHESS BOARD IS M I N E! CLEARSIGHT STOP LAUGHING I'M TERRIFYING--

*Ok idk if we'll ever get to see this, but just imagine Dark and Clear at their kid's weddings! Like, Precocious asking for their blessing before proposing to Way one day? Them absolutely crying their eyes out on Shadowhunter and Permafrost's wedding, and Darkstalker giving a speech like "yanno, when I met Permafrost, she was supposed to kill me and I was a prisoner of war in the ice kingdom, and now she's my daughter-in-law..." 

*Also, them getting to care for their grandkids one day! Can you imagine how happy they would be, and how much they would love them? It would be the cutest thing. Clearsight would be the best Grandma ever :,)

*Them seeing all their kids graduate!!! They would be so proud of them!!!

Bonus round of other random scenes for other characters I can't get out of my head

*In a human AU, I like to think Whiteout always wanted to dye her hair, but Arctic wouldn't let her, and so after he moved out Darkstalker took his sister the drugstore, bought her enough colours of hair dye to make a rainbow, brought her back to his and Clearsight's apartment and helped her dye her hair blue and purple or something like that, and then, just for fun, gave himself a blue streak in his hair. Whiteout pulled it off, he did not, but it was still the first time he really felt like the worst was behind him, and things would be ok. Anyway, ever since Whiteout always dies her hair pretty colours, as a little reminder to herself that she's her own person now, and no one else gets to tell her who to be. :,)

*Anyway one time she looked after the kids for an afternoon, and Dark and Clear came back from their date to all their kids with fun hair colours, except for Way, who was too snooty to dye his hair idk. Eclipse gets to have purple hair for a few weeks, Shadowhunter gets blue hair. It's great.

*Darkstalker tries to do Eclipse's hair when she's little, and has to call Clearsight for help to teach him how to do braids or put it in a bun, and then it becomes their little thing for a while, where he always helps her do her hair!!! :3

*Darkstalker hugging Clearsight from behind and resting his chin on top of her head, because she's ridiculously short and he's ridiculously tall and I'm soft for height difference couples ok!!!!

*At the beginning of their relationship Darkstalker had no idea how to deal with physical affection bc he just didn't grow up getting a lot of it. So the first time Clearsight hugged him, he sorta froze up for a second and made a startled squeaking noise, and then just MELTED. He always asked if he could kiss her or hug her or hold her hand, especially at first when he was still figuring things out bc asking for consent will always be the most attractive thing any person can do for their partner, change my mind.
