Moonbeam: A Timeline series companion

pov: i infodump about songs that relate to my ocs for an entire moonbeam chapter

Okay so I'm writing chapter 29, and things are getting pretty heavy, ngl there's one scene with Darkstalker that almost made me cry (I am not a crier when it comes to books or movies, especially my own work, I have never in my life managed to cry at any piece of media before and I watch a lot of sad movies). Anyway, now I feel bad for hurting him, cause the next chapter... sure is something. Chapter 30 will be a Way one, and hopefully will be a little less heavy compared to this, because it's quickly becoming the saddest thing I have ever written. And I have written a lot of sad things. So anyway, I desperately need to cheer myself up, consider this song dump chapter to be an apology in advance.

Ok I've been obsessed with this song for so long, it makes me feel a little scary and very confident and also I really wish I could have a montage in text form so this could play in the third act of this book as Clearsight gets increasingly desperate and at some point if I get better at drawing I'd love to draw this as an animatic.

Ok ok ok, full disclosure this was my most-listened-to song for the past month according to Spotify, I have, like, a half-finished guitar cover of it I'm working on. It really reminds me of Darkstalker and Whiteout, and I can imagine an animatic where it goes between the two of them, and then there's, like, a split-screen with both of them for the chorus? I'd list lyrics that remind me of their childhood but it's really just the entire song, so listen to it please it's so good I--

(But specifically one line that gives me darkstalker vibes is: "When I erupt/just like you do/they look at me/like I look at you")

This song really reminds me of Shadowhunter and Permafrost!! Like, imagine it's Shadowhunter singing to Permafrost? Come on. Also it's a bop and makes me feel like the protagonist of a summer coming of age movie. Like: "it was summer when i saw your face/looked like a teenage runaway/but god I never thought i'd take it that far"

ok there's a theme emerging here, but can you imagine a darkstalker/clearsight animatic to this song? (timeline series dark and clear, not the canon version cause it doesn't make as much sense lol)

ok!! imagine this song but it's darkstalker singing to eclipse? all the princess imagery in this song works way too well for her and it makes me feel emotional.

Okay it's the next day and I want to add more to this, so here we go.

I just heard this song, like, half an hour ago but tell me this wouldn't work as Darkstalker singing to Clearsight? Come on, it'd be so cute.

Anyway in my heart of hearts they dance around their room to this song singing along very badly. And probably jumping on the bed. I think that'd be cute.

I love to imagine Clearsight singing this song to Gaze--idk, I think the "American queen" line is funny bc she literally is the queen. And it also fits way too well.
