Ok so I'm supposed to be studying to write the test for my learner's permit, but learning traffic rules is boring and writing fanfic is fun, so send me a relationship (doesn't have to be romantic, unless the prompt is, obviously) and a prompt number and I'll write you a little drabble. thank you for keeping me sane while i memorize traffic signs. (why are there so many of them????? please make it stop). not to push anyone in a certain direction but some of these would work so well for dark and clear.

Update: I made some flashcards, read the driving book and ate leftover Halloween candy, it was relatively fine. I'm gonna post the prompts and tag the person who requested them in this chapter, for the sake of organization. Ok here I go!

6. things you said  under the stars and in the grass ( DauntlessShadowIce1)

Brightmind and Shadowhunter. I imagine this took place when they were around three or four.

Shadowhunter's backyard is perfect for stargazing, away from the candlelit glow of the city. Well, I call it a backyard, but it's really just the massive stretch of land outside their house--technically, I don't think it's hers. You can hear the creek in the distance, and the wind rustle through the leaves of tall sycamore and poplar trees. The long grass bushes against my belly, tickling a little--wet from the rain. I can see the lights on in her house, what feels like a million miles away.

"I think that's why my parents moved here," she admits. "To get away from it all. Which is dumb, because now I have to get up way earlier than everyone else to fly to school in the morning, and my mom is like, Shadowhunter, you have to at least try to be on time, but it's like, if you had just picked a normal house we wouldn't be in this situation. Mom." She huffs, breath rising up in clouds of steam.
