Dead...

This AU was a dustball of death.

Nothing grew, nothing survived.

Nightmares leaned down and ran his finger into the ground, it parted easily to his movement.

To think, long ago this place was flush with life.

Blue shies, that rarely rained for long.

Meandering rivers that glimmered in any light, fish leaping in the celebration of life.

The dead earth crunched under his feet as he walked, an endless cracked wasteland for miles in every direction.

Finally he stopped, and lowered his head.

This where it began.

This is where it ended.

Here where the tree once stood.

Where his hubris and hate, killed the one good thing in his life.

Where Dream had dies and dusted in his arms.

"Please brother! Please stop!"

"No Dream! They must all die!"

"We're not suppose to eat the apples.

"I don't care, everyone only has caused my pain. No one cares for me"

"I care!"

Crunch...

"I guess I showed them right Dream, I didn't care," Nightmare sighed, he leaned down hands gently tracing the single gravestone there.

"You cared, you always cared. But you never understood hate," the god of negativity whispered.

"I only wish I could have changed what happened."

OoOoO

Error should have long deleted the AU.

But there was no AU's nearby, or copies linked to it.

Then there was Nightmare.

This was once his home.

The Destroyer had once seen the other grief, when he briefly spoke of his once home.

Something had gone wrong horribly there.

Something, that had broken its story.

Fate had been rather silent on this matter, but the being hadn't ordered him to destroy it yet.

Curious..
