Considering Toga was still a teen, she was placed in the Villain rehabilitation program with Deku, attending UA as a class 1-B student. The police helped Twice as much as they could, getting him counseling for the phycological warfare going on in his mind. It seemed to be helping, and Deku was glad when Twice told him he could go hours without the mask. Mange was harder to deal with, and in the end, their sentence was decreased to only 5 years in prison instead of the usual 25+.

Deku still wasn't totally for the idea of being a hero, but he figured following along and shadowing Aizawa would be good. An underground hero sounded interesting and was most like the work he did before with his father.

Deku sat atop the building with Aizawa crouched beside him. The night air nipped at Deku's skin, creating goosebumps on his arms. It was silent around them, both straining their ears for any sound of violence or distress.

"Have you seen your mother yet?" Aizawa asked after a while.

"Yeah, We're taking it slow, both our anxieties act badly when we're together for too long. Paranoia and all that crap," I sighed, sitting down on the edge of the building, letting my feet dangle. Aizawa watched me from the corner of his eye.

"Now that you're not under your father's control, will you be willing to help the police and other heroes take down the League?" Aizawa continued. Deku laughed at his question. With all the shit that went down, he had no place in the Villian community anymore. If he ever tried to go back, he'd be killed on sight. There was no reason he would keep anything having to do with them a secret.

"I'll tell you everything you want to know," Deku responded smoothly. Aizawa sighed in relief, causing Deku to smile at his reaction. It was clear that everyone was getting used to Deku being on the hero's side, but the tension was still there, like there was a lingering fear that this was all just an act and Deku was buying time to escape. What he found particularly amusing was the fact that he could have escaped long ago, but didn't due to not having anywhere to go. While he was now popular in the Villain community, it was from his blatant betrayal of his father, including aiding in taking him down.

The students that didn't like him before, including Iida, Bakugou, and Todoroki, have grown to like him. Iida now sees that he's not evil anymore, and Todoroki warmed up to him since the moment he yelled for him to use his quirk. Bakugou never disliked him, just didn't know what to think. It was understandable, seeing as Deku disappeared for years then came back with a hunger for blood.

It seemed that everything was calming down though, which greatly pleased everyone involved.

Aizawa reached over and rested his hand on my shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. The light smile that he wore on his face was comforting and not at all crazy like some of his other faces.

"I'm proud of you," It was a simple statement, but one that shot through my chest and left a hole burning where it went. Having this be the first time I've ever heard those words spoken to me, I didn't know how to react. I think I stared at him for way longer than necessary, but he didn't seem to mind.

I pushed his arm off in an attempt to regain any dignity that I lost and jumped off the roof of the building we were perched on, hoping from lamp post to lamp post. I heard Aizawa laugh as he followed me through the city, swinging beside me.

I trusted that the shadows of the night hid the smile that forced my lips upward.
