I slam my head on my desk. Why must everything be so complicated?

'You should stop doing that. You might get concussion.'

I wearily lift my head off the desk and look at Byakuya, who's standing at the door, holding a pot of noodles.

'I thought you might want something to eat.'

He walks over to me and places the noodles on the desk, next to a pile of papers. He briefly looks at them. 'The new school?'

I nod. 'It's nearly finished... There's just one problem...'

'And what could that be?' Byakuya asks.

'Izuru. Before he... arrived... I would have let Hajime go to the new school. But now... I don't think it's a good idea...'

'Then maybe just keep him here?'

'If only it's that easy,' I sigh, 'If Izuru stays, the rest will have to stay. I can't have him be the only one... But I also can't let him stop the others from going to the new Hope's Peak Academy...'

After thinking for a second, Byakuya speaks up again. 'Maybe when Nagito wakes up... he might go back to normal...'

'Nobody knows how long it'll be until he wakes up...' I say, despair leaking into my voice.

Byakuya places his hand on my shoulder. 'Hey... It'll be okay...'

'Will it?' I ask, looking into his eyes.

'I promise.'

I quietly climb out of bed, trying not to wake the others. After successfully creeping out, I walk towards an almost empty apartment building.

I open the door and am greeted by a mass of wires, monitors and switches. This is gonna be hard to find the right one...

After sorting some of the wires and clearing a path for me to walk through, I find it. A small, almost unnoticeable button. You wouldn't be able to find it if you didn't know it was there. Luckily, I'd found some papers that Komaru had left on the kitchen table, and had noticed it on a diagram.

As I lift my hand to press the button, I hear a voice.

'What are you doing?'

I turn my head to see a silhouette standing in the doorway.

'Nagisa. What are you doing?'

I sigh. 'Kotoko, not now.'

'You didn't answer my question,' Kotoko walks towards me, 'What are you doing?'

'It doesn't matter!'

'You know, if you're trying to kill him, I understand. But maybe it's not the best idea...' Kotoko says, deep in thought, 'Yeah, maybe don't.'

'I'm not trying to-' I trail off. Technically, Kotoko's right... I don't want to kill him, but... if this goes wrong, he's sure as dead. And there's a 90% chance it's going to go wrong.

Kotoko tilts her head. 'So what are you waiting for? Press the button!'

'But you just-' I stutter, confused, 'It doesn't matter...'

I place my hand on the button. This time, Kotoko doesn't stop me as I press my hand down.

We watch in wonder as the green tinted glass pod next to us starts to open.
