Hi, everyone!
I wanted to share with you some videos that I found on YouTube over the past few days. I think these videos are far better at capturing the real essence of the First World War than this story could ever do because they are real people, talking about real events.
As a warning, these videos do contain destressing descriptions so please be advised.
The video above is one that I wished I'd found before I started writing this novella. It's a story from a German veteran, like Kurt, talking through the PTSD and the feeling that came with the killing during the war. It's a really interesting video and one I think will intrigue those of you who followed this novella.
I also found a playlist full of videos like the one above, including one on the Christmas truce, that I think will be of interest to those of you who want to learn about the war period and listen to the voices of the people who were there.
