"The Century of Lament" recounts the harrowing experiences of Parkinson and his loved ones during and after World War I. Amidst the chaos, moments of faith, hope, and brotherhood emerge, such as the Christmas Truce, where soldiers from opposing sides share a rare bond. The narrative also explores societal struggles, including Charlotte's work as a Canary Girl, the rise of sociological ideas, and the devastating aftermath of war that leaves scars on nations and individuals alike. As the war concludes, the story reflects on the costs of peace, justice, and the profound trauma left behind. The Treaty of Versailles and the rise of extremism in Germany mark the beginning of a new dark chapter, with characters facing exile, suffering, and the rise of Hitler. Despite these horrors, the novel highlights enduring human resilience, love, and faith, culminating in hopes for a better future amid the lingering shadows of the century's laments.

In my U.S history class, we had to write two poems about WW1. I mindlessly wrote two and here they are.

WW1 Germans vs Romanian fantasy monsters. Magic vs technology. Terror vs reason. Claws, teeth, and undeath vs bullets, bayonets, and artillery shells. The dark forests of Tarâmuri, against the ever-approaching trenches of Teutonia. Vampiric aristocrats and their legions of undead, against millions of living, human soldiers. This story is told like the story of every war. Through many sets of eyes. From the eyes of a Teuton soldier, crouching in a trench. From the eyes of a 600-year-old vampiric nobleman who yearns for nothing more than a good death. From the eyes of a greedy emperor, and a mad king. And from the eyes of someone who serves neither king, nor emperor, but God.

The War to End All Wars has been raging for years now, with no end in sight each side, The Allies and the Central Powers, vie for some weapon that can possibly turn the tide of this long and bloody war. The new weapon, an amalgamation of industry and draconian techniques will shake the world to its core and usher in an unprecedented new era, one in which warfare is not fought by mere men but instead metal Goliaths.

The Great War. The war to end all wars is coming to a close. On the 11th of November at 11 o'clock the war came to an end. 4 years of fighting is over. America and France have been long standing allies having fought side by side in the great the war. In Elysia with the opening of the eye of terror and the portals to the depths of hell the gods decide that a nation or multiple would be needed to be summoned to die in the dark so the world could live in the light. So as celebrations continue across the remaining months of 1918 two massive storms roll forward and blanket France and the US. Both nations thus dissapeared from the world. The two nations the Eagle and the Rooster now find themselves in a battle for survival with the war torn France and the Idealistic America now standing side by side as the forces of hell come crashing down on them without warning. For France and America it is like the end times are here while for the nations of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd civilized regions lay blissfully unaware of the horrors just several thousands of miles away. With the end seemingly near France and America begin their long struggle for survival. This is a darker Nihonkoku Shoukan story. This is a story of survival, struggle, desperation, ww1 soldiers fighting off demonic hordes and fighting horrors beyond comprehension. It a Dark world for the two countries but it's one worth fighting for.

Colin Davis is a 23 year old college student and facing an uphill battle to face the ottomans, but will he live to see the face of the enemy, and survive the bloodiest day in history?

In the year 1918, a young Frenchman, Pierre Durand, volunteers as a soldier into the French Army. Ignoring the pleas of his mother to stay, he still volunteers expecting to return as a hero. When Pierre arrives at the infamous Western Front, he discovers the true horrific conditions of Trench Warfare.

What will happen when the Entente Powers begin moving in on Berlin after the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Ottoman Empire, and Tsardom of Bulgaria? The story starts in 1920, where submachine guns were normalized in most militaries at this point, and the Zeppelin was a soon forgotten memory of air warfare. The Kaiser has already abdicated, leaving the country to be led by the duo of Erich Ludendorff and Paul Von Hindenburg, the German Army leaders. The two leaders have already called in all available people to fight in the last defense, including the Franco-Prussian war veterans.

It is the time of the clone wars. War is all present in the galaxy and every day hundrets die on various planets. In all this caos is one general with his men. This is the storry of the 345 siege corps and it's general. May the force be with them. I don't own star wars.

This is a quickly thrown together concept for a story set in a fantasy Great War. The story follows a group of shock troopers as they undertake a trench raid. Its very rushed, but as I said it's just a concept for now.

THE WAR IS ALMOST OVER. THE NIGHTMARE IS JUST BEGINNING. November, 1918. The Meuse-Argonne Offensive is reaching its brutal climax, and the end of the Great War is finally within sight. But for a small squad of American Doughboys, salvation is cut short when a sudden German mustard gas attack forces them deep underground into a captured concrete bunker. Trapped in the damp dark, their only lifeline is the suffocating rubber of their gas masks. To break the seal is suicide. But as the hours stretch into days, a rhythmic tapping echoes through the ventilation pipes-a phantom Morse code broadcasting their conversations seconds before they happen. Then comes the final, terrifying transmission: a headcount that doesn't add up.

This is a short First World War Fiction of my thoughts on a solider's experience of a battle. It was written for class exercise, another under 1000 word fiction one

Ten thousand years ago, the sky split open and never healed. From that wound came fire, monsters, and a war that no one remembers how to end. Civilization did not fall. It dug in. Across a dying world, four great powers fight in trenches that stretch from burning cities to flooded coasts and poisoned underground tunnels. Faith became ammunition. Flesh became fuel. Survival became the only victory left. The Iron Reliquary marches behind sacred machines that run on sacrifice. The Ashen Choir burns everything in the name of purification. The Vermin Synod spreads infection to become something stronger than human. The Leviathan Dominion rises from the oceans to reclaim the world for the deep. Above them all, the sky continues to bleed. And something ancient is still trying to come through. This is a story of endless war, collapsing faith, and humanity's slow transformation into something unrecognizable. In this world, peace is a myth. Mercy is weakness. And the war never stops.
