In my U.S history class, we had to write two poems about WW1. I mindlessly wrote two and here they are.

WW1 Germans vs Romanian fantasy monsters. Magic vs technology. Terror vs reason. Claws, teeth, and undeath vs bullets, bayonets, and artillery shells. The dark forests of Tarâmuri, against the ever-approaching trenches of Teutonia. Vampiric aristocrats and their legions of undead, against millions of living, human soldiers. This story is told like the story of every war. Through many sets of eyes. From the eyes of a Teuton soldier, crouching in a trench. From the eyes of a 600-year-old vampiric nobleman who yearns for nothing more than a good death. From the eyes of a greedy emperor, and a mad king. And from the eyes of someone who serves neither king, nor emperor, but God.

A story about a British Soldier and his experiences during the Great War.

In the year 1918, a young Frenchman, Pierre Durand, volunteers as a soldier into the French Army. Ignoring the pleas of his mother to stay, he still volunteers expecting to return as a hero. When Pierre arrives at the infamous Western Front, he discovers the true horrific conditions of Trench Warfare.

Walter Winchester has been trapped in hell for almost two years now. Leaving behind a wife and a newborn baby, Walter left his family for glory in the Great War, only to find endless pain and agony waiting for him. In early 1917, Walter wakes up just like every other eternal day, eating basic rations and reading or writing a letter to/fro his wife, but today, Walter's going to find something that will completely alter his life.

The soldiers are scrambling up the revetments, shoving their legs against the A-frame, checking and double-checking their bayonets are secured to the ends of their G98s.

War.... Some wish it never happens and some wish it never ends. Join a soldier on the front as he fights for his country and also himself. The Great War. The war to end all wars is coming to a close. On the 11th of November at 11 o'clock the war came to an end. 4 years of fighting is over. America and France have been long standing allies having fought side by side in the great the war. In Elysia with the opening of the eye of terror and the portals to the depths of hell the gods decide that a nation or multiple would be needed to be summoned to die in the dark so the world could live in the light. So as celebrations continue across the remaining months of 1918 two massive storms roll forward and blanket France and the US. Both nations thus dissapeared from the world. The two nations the Eagle and the Rooster now find themselves in a battle for survival with the war torn France and the Idealistic America now standing side by side as the forces of hell come crashing down on them without warning. For France and America it is like the end times are here while for the nations of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd civilized regions lay blissfully unaware of the horrors just several thousands of miles away. With the end seemingly near France and America begin their long struggle for survival. This is a darker Nihonkoku Shoukan story. This is a story of survival, struggle, desperation, ww1 soldiers fighting off demonic hordes and fighting horrors beyond comprehension. It a Dark world for the two countries but it's one worth fighting for.

This is a quickly thrown together concept for a story set in a fantasy Great War. The story follows a group of shock troopers as they undertake a trench raid. Its very rushed, but as I said it's just a concept for now.
