Chapter 17
Louis's POV
"Shut up!"
A hand collided with my cheek causing me to fall to the ground with the bile taste of blood rising in my mouth. I could feel the side of my face starting to burn as the bruise began to form. I struggled to sit up seeing as my hands were tied up behind my back. They didn't use rope like a regular bad guy would. No. They used this weird alien laser thingymabob.
I sat up straight and turned my head to spit out the pool of blood in my mouth.
"Lou! Stop arguing with them! You're going to get yourself killed!!" Liam said. Me and the boys were all gathered together with the Zinthovas surrounding us. Everyone except for one. And i'm pretty sure i know where he is.
They brought us to a barren area that had dirt roads and a few mountains in the distance. No one else is here meaning they're free to do what they want with us. God i hope Scarlett is ok...
"What are we going to do? We'll never make it out of here alive if we try to fight against these guys." Liam said worriedly.
"Don't worry. Scarlett will be here." I'm almost positive....
As if someone read my mind, the portal we stepped through before reappeared revealing two faces i would've never seen together.
"Scarlett! Thank god you're here!" Harry exclaimed.
She didn't answer. There was something off about her. She had a dark vibe emanating from her body. She returned to her natural state; blue skin and purple hair and eyes. She was wearing a sort of battle suit that looked like a leather bandeau, high-rise leather shorts, and knee high boots.
"S-scarlett?" I mumbled.
Once she recognized my presence, she strutted toward me with a worried look on her face. The Zinthovas seemed to surprisingly step out of her way and let her pass. She bent down to my level and gave me a quick hug, sending shivers down my spine....and no. They weren't the pleasurable kind.
When she pulled away, she looked at me with a concern. But her eyes remained empty and glazed. "Are you alright?" She asked.
I stared at her for a moment, taking caution. Then i nodded hesitantly causing the corners of her mouth to tilt upward.
"Good." That one word rolled off her tongue in such a sickly manner. In one swift motion, I was sent flying a good ten feet away from when her foot slammed onto my face.
"Scarlett, what the hell?!" Liam screamed. She flicked her head over to Liam and grabbed him by the collar. I didn't even see when she threw him effortlessly towards me. I only noticed when a large body suddenly landed on mine. We both groaned in pain as he rolled off of me to lay on the floor.
"Anyone else?" She asked innocently while placing her hands on her hips.
"W-what's wrong with you? W-why are you doing this?" Harry stuttered. "I thought we were your friends."
She let out a hearty laugh before answering. "Oh please. Like I'd ever become friends with humans. Especially ones who can't hold their own in a battle."
"C'mon Scarlett. Stop this. You know you care about us." Zayn added, attempting to reason with her.
She bent down so that they were face to face. "i never gave a damn about you." She spat. "You were all nothing but a cover-up." With that, she kicked Zayn in the ribs, making him topple over and get into a fetal position. She straightened herself up and walked over to Kalona, wearing a smirk across her face.
