(Name) POV
Being basically invisible to the world had it's perks, I guess.
Let's go over the pros and cons, yeah?
Pro, no one bothers you.
Con, no one likes you enough to bother you.
Pro, don't have to put up with anybody's bullshit.
Con...yeah, I got nothing.
The fact that I'm trying to get across is, being unknown to almost everyone has its pros and cons.
Being practically nameless means that if you were the center of attention for even a second, it lasted a lot longer.
I would know that from experience. I have this internal monologue while staring at a picture taken around a week ago.
It was of me, and, would ya believe it, Ahri from K/DA, and it was trending.
If you're wondering as to how this picture was taken, allow me to take you back.
-Flashback-
"Oh, they have Baja Blast here?" I asked myself as I pushed a shopping cart around a store.
This place had basically everything I needed, except for the affection from another living being.
Anywho...
I slowly walked around the store, looking for basically anything that I might need. Kind of wish I still lived with my parents, would be a hell of a lot easier having my Mom shop for me. That woman always seemed like she knew what she wanted before we even got to the store.
"No way, they have Pocky here? I haven't seen these in forever.." I muttered, slowly reaching for them.
Just as I touched the box, it just so happened that another person did as well. Raising a brow, I glanced over to said person.
They wore a big ass hat and an equally large jacket that went down to their knees, and a pair of round shades, though it was obvious they were a female.
Though they could choose to be whatever they want.
It's 2021, people can choose to be whatever they want.
"O-Oh, I'm sorry. You can have them!" She said, pulling her hand away.
"Okay." I said immediately, snatching the last box from the shelf and continuing to push my cart.
The girl then appeared in front of me.
"How did you do th-"
"Wait, you were supposed to say something like, 'No, I insist, you can have them, fair lady,'!" She exclaimed, pointing at me.
"What? Why would I do that? You offered them to me? Declining the offer would be rude." I answered blandly.
The female visibly slouched. "B-But, I wanted those.." She said sadly.
I sighed, running a hand through my hair and took a few steps closer before placing a hand on her shoulder. "Look, ma'am, if it makes you feel any better.."
She straightened up immediately, probably predicting what I was going to say.
"Better luck next time." I then patted her shoulder and kept walking past her.
Third Person POV
After being shut down by our precious reader, the girl just kept staring blankly at where he stood a few seconds prior.
"You're so rude!"
The girl spun around so quick a small squeak came from the floor. Unfortunately for her, she lost her balance and started to fall forward.
(Name) looked over his shoulder as he saw the girl basically falling in slow making. He made sure to softly put his Pocky into his cart before fully turning around and reaching his arm out, catching the girl by wrapping an arm around her waist.
Her hat and glasses fell to the floor, revealing her features.
She had long blonde hair, amber eyes, and three whisker-like markings going down either side of her face.
The most surprising features were the-
"Are those Fox ears?"
Yeah, that.
The girl didn't realize what had happened for a few seconds before her eyes widened.
"Is that Ahri from K/DA?"
"What's she doing with that guy?"
"Is that her boyfriend?"
A chorus of questions from nearby people sounded out, making her gasp and stand up quickly. "Um, sorry." She quickly apologized, picking up her things. "You can have the Pocky!" She said loudly before running off, pushing her way through the crowd.
(Name) stood there with a bewildered expression on his face before looking around at all of the people who were trying to ask him millions of questions.
He quickly grabbed his cart and made his way out by running over a few people and speeding towards the register. After paying for his things, he quickly grabbed them and left the store.
"Ahri from K/DA? She must be famous or something."
-Flashback End-
(Name) POV
And famous she was.
Apparently, the name Ahri was known across the globe for belonging to an internet sensation that blew up a few years ago because of her solo music, but gained even more popularity when she founded the group K/DA.
At least I know now.
I guess me being seen holding her like that was bound to blow up, especially with the way that rumors spread nowadays.
Scrolling through what seemed like millions of different results about it, I finally came to the account he was looking for.
Clicking on it, I observed it for a few seconds, even going as far as looking at a few pictures and tweets.
Finding my curiosity to be satisfied for the moment, I was about to leave said account and turn his computer off before my eyes landed on the option to message the account.
"Should I?" I asked myself, mentally questioning on whether I wanted to do this or save myself the embarrassment.
With a hefty sigh and about 5 minutes of me convincing myself, I clicked on the DM button and typed out a message.
It was quick and simple, but to the point and wasted no time.
'We need to talk about that picture that was taken.'
Rereading it a couple times, I nodded, okay with how it turned out even though it was an incredibly simple sentence.
A few more seconds of convincing myself to do it, and I pressed send.
Little did I know, that one little message would have a huge impact on my life.
