Sienna spent most of the following weekend in bed, replying to her friends and letting them know that she was okay, however deep down she wasn't really. Lydia and Allison came to see her but not for very long as she claimed she was tired and needed to sleep even though Sienna only had a total of 7 hours sleep after Friday night. Fear consumed her as she had no idea what was to come next. Now knowing that because of what she was, people were going to hurt her and the thought that it was because of either her mother or father only intensified the confusion. She wondered if what he said was even true, if so, why hasn't her mum told her anything. Or since her dad is never around, if it came from him, she wondered if her mother even knew about it or why her dad never thought to explain to her what she is. The thoughts raked through her mind as she tried to stop thinking about ifs and focus on what she does know. From what she could remember Jake had said theres a lot more for her to know about herself and a lot more for her to do, which only increased her anxiety as she become more worried about what else is going to happen to her.
Stiles and Lydia had offered her lift but she insisted on walking today, it was a fairly long walk so she set off early before the sun had even finished its journey into the sky, the early morning flames still had a pink aura glazing the clouds. Hoping that this walk would help clear her thoughts and understand everything better, however not to her surprise, it didn't.
Finally getting to school she noticed two familiar cars already parked in their usual spots, so Sienna headed in to meet her friends. As she walked closer to school a daunting thought came crashing down on her—what if Jake is here? Upon that thought, her body stopped in the middle of the road as she surveyed the car park to look for his car. Fortunately from what she could see it wasn't there, but that didn't stop the overwhelming sense of dread that planted itself at the pit of her stomach. Reluctantly her body took her away from the road and onto the path beside the bike rack, she didn't want to enter the school but definitely not alone, not after what happened the last time she was there.
She pulled out her phone and went to her contacts, her thumb momentarily hovered over the list of four names as she wasn't sure who to text first. Part of her wanted to text Stiles first, she knew he would come out straight away but part of her also just wanted her other best friends to be by her-side as well. Deciding to text the group chat and ask for them to meet her outside, it wasn't even a minute before they'd all replied saying they'll be there shortly.
Like promised, she saw four familiar faces exit the blue double doors. As they walked down the steps and approached her, she was immediately embraced into a hug by them all. Swamped by questions just like the ones she'd received from them all weekend, but just by seeing them, she already felt better. Knowing they were there with her today made her feel a million times more at ease and confident for the day ahead.
Sienna and her four friends had science first period, Mr Harris sent them a practical but this time she was forced to sit beside Greenberg as they carried out the experiment. She watched him mix in all the wrong amounts of chemicals into different mixtures, creating colours that she'd never even seen before. However she didn't care enough to bother telling him what to do, so instead she watched him continue to make the concoction of failure.
Lunch time rolled around and the 5 were sitting in their regular seating arrangement, as they all settled down and began eating, Lydia spoke first.
" Has anyone heard from Derek or Issac recently?"
Sienna shot her a confused look as this was the first time she'd ever heard either of those names. The name Derek rang a bell to her however she wasn't sure why, she assumed it was likely in passing from one of them mentioning his name.
" They went away together for a little while to do something, I'm actually surprised we haven't heard from them in so long." Scott replied.
" I only asked out of curiosity. I'm fine never seeing either of them again" Lydia said simply.
