" No we totally need to have another night like that, it was so much fun Holly. Anyways, I'm home and safe now, tell Charlie, love you bye"

The 13 year old blonde entered through her wooden front doors as she tucked her phone away into her back pocket. Tossing her black converse messily into the shoe rack she headed into the dark porch that was void of all light except the small flickering orange glow that entered through a window facing her street. Dark and home alone she finally flicked on the kitchen light and made her way in through the lounge towards it, as she poured herself a glass of water and sat on a stool beside the table. The low beat of music that radiated from her back pocket was all that could be heard as she nodded her head and tapped her foot to the rhythm. Enjoying the peace and revelling in the much wanted loneliness of the night, she enjoyed having the house to herself as it was free from anyone else around her. Free from anyone there to look over her shoulder or judge her about how she looked or how she acted or even her attempts at singing along to the song that she didn't really know the lyrics to.

Atleast, that was what she was used to when she was home alone.

The light from the kitchen only stretched so far. The room beside the kitchen, the one in which she walked through infact had someone else residing in it. Someone. Something lurked in the shadows as it watched the teen age girl from where it stood. The body taking refuge in the shadows, out of sight for the young girl, fortunately enough it's presence still remained unknown. And it would remain unknown until it decided to show her that she was infact not the only one in her home.

Choosing the option to instead instill some fear in Sienna first before it took up on what it intended to do. The creature stepped one foot out of the safety of the shadows and knocked over a small lamp beside the sofa. The sudden crash made Siennas heart raise through the roof as her head shot in its direction, unable to see much of anything she slowly made her way towards where it came from. Curious rather than fearful was a sign of niavity, a sign that she should have known better. Perhaps had she not of taken those few steps forward, perhaps her life now may be far different to what it could have been. However, the curiosity outweighed the threat in those few moments of choice as she continued to edge forward. Flicking on the main light she stared into an empty room with a broken lamp still rolling on the floor. The bulb fragments littered the carpet beside the beige fabric shade. Taking a deep breathe as she continued to survey the room, she finally gave in and went to clean up the mess.

That was until she heard the floorboard creak just a meter behind her. The tiny hairs on the back of her neck stood up as the air turned cold. The patter of one foot stepping closer, in her direction, gave her the final confirmation that she was definitely not the only one in the room.

Clenching her eyes tight she prayed for her mum to come home, as she listened for the car pulling in, but the only noises that could be heard was the heavy breathes escaping her own nostrils and the now not so quiet grunts and pants coming from the creature behind her.

The thing that lurked not far from her back began to stand taller, it's shadow grew in front of her from the light behind, the darkness of the silhouette only enhanced the evilness of the intruder.

Slowly beginning to turn around as she accepted that she didn't have the choice to run so instead she had to face the creature or remain with her back to it.

As she finally met him face on, the creature almost looked human. Almost. It had the body of a wolf with hair growing from every bare surface and claws growing from beyond his finger tips, yet the features on the face seemed so mundane yet so not at the same time, it was a concoction only the devil could make himself. A snarl rose from his lips as they arched upwards like a dog ready to bite, yet the creature still remained solitary.
