As Sienna stared at the two boys, her vision blurred slightly and the two figures became slightly hazy. Focusing her eyes she realised that the alcohol consumption may be slightly affecting her senses, however she willed herself to be sober enough to handle the awkward situation.

Looking at the boys, she smiled and said hello back to them both. Although, without a reply but merely just a nod, Stiles resided to a seat at the table furthest from her followed by Scott, his eyes had refused to meet hers since he'd said her name in unison with the other boy. She indicated for Jake to take the seat down next to her, as he did, the pair began talking.

" Why were you late Jake? You promised you'd be here? I had to come by myself and I've spent the last hour basically alone" her tone raised slightly but she monitored it enough so she didn't receive any stares from anyone around her.

" I'm sorry Sienna. I had to help my mum with something, I did it as quick as I could. Atleast I'm here. " He replied although it came out more simply than sincerely, not really showing much care.

" It's okay" Sienna said gently as her head fell back in annoyance.

Although, not wanting to start a fight, she put her anger aside and respected his apology, handing him a drink she'd gotten him earlier, the two joined in on the conversation at the table. She noticed his significant change in character, the friendly boy she knew in English was not the same as the one sitting with her right now. Just like his texts, his replies were short and his face firmly held the expression of utter disinterest.

A few songs played however whenever Sienna tried to ask him to dance he refused to go up with her, instead they chatted through small talk however he didn't hold conversations for too long so eventually Siena gave up trying. Internally regretting on taking him up on his invite, she didn't think her night would be spent like this. Her disappointment had suppressed all the excitement that she'd felt before he'd arrived. Slumped back into her chair, she sipped some more of her punch and let the silence thicken despite the booming music in her ears. She watched her friends dance on the dance floor together, wishing she could be doing that to. She watched over at Stiles who was third wheeling on Allison and Scott on the dance floor, his ex-date seemed to have disappeared since Stiles had left her.

Breaking the ever-growing quietness at the table, Jake asked, " Do you want to come outside with me for abit. I need some fresh air". Taking his offer, she finally thought she was going to start feeling better about the night. The two stood up and walked out of the dance together.

Sitting on the steps beside the school next to one another, he'd explained that he couldn't leave his mum because she really needed his help with something important, however this time his words seemed more sincere and she accepted his apology once again. The slight intoxicated feelings she'd felt earlier had subsided now as she'd had a little to eat and some non-alcoholic punch to drink, but she still brought the bottle of water that Jake had gotten her outside with them.

Laughing and chatting away, the conversation had started to flow more easily. The two shared some more of their interests and other things about themselves and somehow they'd managed to talk back into fluidity.

" You look really pretty tonight" his green eyes shied away from her as he complimented her outfit.

Smiling, she replied, " Thankyou! As do you Jake".

However, quite suddenly breaking the atmosphere of niceites, he stood up and told her to stay where she was and that he wouldn't be long. Leaving hurriedly he told her not to move, quite firm in those few words. Walking away and hiding his body just behind some bushes to where he was out of her eyesight.
Left bewildered, Siennas eyebrows furrowed at his instant change of character. His once sweet words had turned sour as he told her to stay.
