"Explain to me exactly why we all have to be so dressed up for this?" Alex asked to Arizona as they stepped out of the car.
"Because this man is rich and might give us funding after tonight. Also look at where we parking the CAR. The garage is worth more than the hospital." Arizona said as she looked for the other people invited.
Amelia had asked Atticus to host a dinner party for her friends. He thought she meant at a restaurant or venue but Amelia insisted at his own place.
So Atticus proceeded to call his cleaners and cooks to make dinner and clean the penthouse. And double check the red room was locked. Atticus did not need all of Amelia's friends knowing what they did in his home.
Amelia had made her guest list- aka a bunch of people Atticus barely knew. Nonetheless he wanted to make her happy, so he put on his suit and allowed all these people in his house.
"So did you get lost or was it just us?" Maggie asked readjusting her coat as they walked through the parking garage.
"No I think everyone got lost. I haven't seen Jo or Stephanie so they're still lost." Meredith said as she combed through her hair.
"I barely know this guy and Amelia just stays here and dates him. Makes me uncomfortable." Derek said as they stood waiting for the rest of the group.
"Sorry, we're here. We got lost on the way." Callie rushed up with Jo and Stephanie.
"Who are we waiting on?" Derek asked looking around at all the cars.
"Tom and Teddy." Meredith said.
"There they are." Jo pointed at Tom and Teddy who were walking at a moderate pace towards the group.
"Are you the members of Grey+Sloan?" A man in a black suit asked as he walked towards them.
"Who's asking." Alex asked looking at the formal attire the man had on.
"Martin. I work for Mr. Lincoln, I was told by Ms. Shepherd to escort you upstairs. So follow me." Martin said as his white gloves hand lead them towards the large elevator.
-
"This place is really nice." Derek said as Atticus walked the group through the penthouse.
"Thank you." Atticus said as he looked at Derek, who was giving him an intimidating face or was trying to for the most.
The group passed the black door with no handle. To them it was just a door they expected to be opened. For Amelia, well she turned more red than the key to open it.
"What's in there?" Teddy asked her hand gesturing towards the door.
"Nothing that concerns you. Dinner is ready anyways." Link said as Amelia avoided eye contact with everyone.
Skeptical nonetheless everyone followed the pair downstairs to sit at the large wooden dining table. Once everyone was seated and the actual eating and drinking had begun Arizona had to use the bathroom.
"Where's the bathroom again?" Arizona whispered to Amelia.
"Come with me." Amelia laughed as she pushed her chair back.
"So what's in that room." Arizona asked as they walked back from the bathroom.
"That is the red room, that's why he was so short with Teddy." Amelia said raising her eyebrows as Arizona stopped them in front of it.
"Can I see?" Arizona asked.
"No Atticus might kill me." Amelia crossed her arms over her chest.
"He's distracted with everyone asking him for funding, he won't even notice." Arizona prodded.
"Fine. But stay here." Amelia said as she began to walk down the stairs.
"Hey, where'd you go?" Atticus said as he turned, hearing Amelia's heels hitting the marble floor.
"I'm going to show Arizona the bathroom." Amelia said as she reached the counter, subtly grabbing the key.
"Okay. Don't let her get lost." Atticus said turning his attention back to Alex and Tom, presenting him with reasons he should fund their lab.
Amelia briskly walked back up the stairs, tucking the key into the sleeve of her shirt.
"Okay. Now you cannot tell anyone I let you in here." Amelia said as she held the key up to the door.
"I won't." Arizona said shaking her head. She heard the dead bolt click as Amelia carefully pushed the black door open.
"Holy shit." Arizona gasped as her eyes met the dimly lit room,
The whips and crops that hung from the wall, the gold wall that reminded her of honeycomb.
"I told you." Amelia said as she watched Arizona walk around.
"I thought this would be a lot more graphic. Like I thought you meant axe- murderer sex dungeon." Arizona laughed.
"I would have run away if that was the case." Amelia said joining Arizona.
"You use all this stuff?" Arizona asked with wide eyes at Amelia.
"Mostly. There's some drawers he has yet to show me." Amelia shrugged.
"Damn." Arizona said turning to look at Amelia again.
"Let's go before he finds out I showed you our very private life." Amelia said letting Arizona walk out in front of her before shutting the door and turning off the lights.
