Chapter 16: Dust

t/w: so this chapter is the entire battle in Inifty War so there is violence and can get graphic. 

a/n: I am sorry this is late I am getting to the end of the semester so everything is just super hectic. finals are next week so hopefully, after that, I can devote so much more time writing. anyways I hope you really like this chapter :)

T'Challa then yelled, "Wakanda Forever!!" As he did the Wakandan salute and he closed his helmet shielding his face. At this, I stomped my foot and lit up my lightsaber getting ready to charge. And we all did.

We charge to the barrier while it opened planning on giving Wakanda the noblest fight for the lives of everyone. Because we were going to do whatever it takes to win this. There was no backing down from this fight that was now in front of us. 

We all were running. Steve and T'Challa were at the front due to their enhancements, either serum or suit given, which made their speed increased. Nat, Okoye, and I followed behind. All I could see was red as I sliced through the bodies of the alien dogs that were in front of me. I didn't care about surviving. All I cared about was not losing anyone else. 

All I could see was blood and dust. King T'Challa was right. I was exhausted from the battle but I had a pretty good routine with Steve. I would lift them in the air with the force then I would either slice them in half or throw them to Steve for him to deal with it.

We had been fighting for what felt like hours. Everyone was exhausted. We were all trying to not get overwhelmed by the outsiders but there were too many of them and not enough of us. So many Wakandan soldiers had died. It tore me up inside knowing they gave up so much fighting for this. 

Steve was next to me and he was getting thrown down by the outsiders. He was bearing his teeth fighting the best he could. Nat was also being overrun. Bucky had lost his gun and for me, the force wasn't going to be able to save me. I knew I would probably die on this field but the only thing giving me peace was the idea that if I survive this, our greatest threat, I could maybe live a normal life. 

The barrier being open was letting thousands in and there was no stop. Suddenly, there was a beam of light, killing the outsiders in the path. Out of the beam also came lightning and a hammer of some kind. I knew immediately who it was. 

I smiled at the 3 people who came from the light, Thor, a raccoon, and a tree. Honestly confused as to the raccoon and tree but happy all the same. It was like the spirit of the battle completely changed. 

We all looked in amazement at the new help and I couldn't help but say, "It about damn time Thor. I thought you were chickening out of a fight!" 

Thor turned and looked at me with a wink before charging towards the outsiders yelling, "BRING ME THANOS!" 

We all began fighting again giving it everything we had. I sliced and choked anything and everything in front of me. 

On the coms, I heard Rocket ask Bucky, "How much for the arm?" then promise to himself he would get the arm I couldn't help but laugh. God, where does Thor find these people? 

But the laughter was cut short when all of the sudden I felt the ground shake beneath me. I looked up and saw serval wheels of death coming out of the ground and towards us. Not only was it going to kill us but also them. They didn't care though that was the scary thing.
