"His condition is getting worse, twice as much compare to other cases here," I heard the doctor said inside, he's talking with my brother.
"Please! Doctor save my brother, I'll do anything to save him, please!" My brother said while crying on his knees.
I stand up on the waiting benches outside the doctor's office.
I grab the metal handle of my dextrose pole and walk by the hallway.
And as I walk on the long hospital hallway, I saw patients in every corner.
Some childrens are crying on their mother's lap.
Some are sitting on wheelchairs that their father's pushing along.
And there are some laying on hospital beds with life supports attached to their bodies.
I spent almost all my life inside this hospital, and I barely see the outside world behind these walls.
And for those many years, I've learned that each patient here has different stories to tell.
The only thing we all share in common is the printed hospital gown we are wearing all the time, and our heads covered with bonnets trying to hide our bald heads because of chemotherapy.
Yes, this hospital is for cancer patients, and I'm here ever since I opened my eyes, and because of my weak body,
I never get to experience the feeling of going to school.
The excitement of playing on amusement parks, and even playing on a playground.
My brother is the only one who taught me everything I know now.
I didn't notice that I already arrived in the garden at the back of the hospital.
Cause of the thoughts in my mind.
This place is our favorite place here inside the hospital compound because patients never come here that often.
It's a perfect place to think and rest.
I feel tired because of walking all the way here, so I decided to sit on one of the benches to rest for a bit.
All I can hear is the wind blowing that makes the tree branches dance, and the birds singing in unison.
I sigh deeply, close my eyes, and let the sun flares touch my pale skin.
It feels so warm and lively.
As I listen to the sound of nature, happy memories I have here began to appear vividly in my mind.
