"Mom, Dad I made it"I said, my voice tinged with emotion.
"I've fulfilled all the promises I made to you,"
I added, my words echoing through the stillness.
"I am a Doctor now"Nobody answered.
"I've accomplished all the dreams you had for me,"
I said, my words seeming to fall on deaf ears."All of this is for both of you"
But still,
Nobody answered...
Before, I found it oddly amusing how people would talk to those who couldn't hear them.
Speaking in front of a cold slab of cement or a sacred jar containing ashes – it all seemed purposeless.
Why speak to those who didn't care or,

"Yeah, I'm good" I just said, and form a little smile.
"Do you want one of my chocolates, so you can be happy now?" He asked, offering me a piece of KitKat he was holding.
"No, but thank you" I replied.
I thought he's gonna leave after I refused his offer,
but to my surprise, he sat beside me."I can stay here for a while until you smile," He said and opened one of his chocolates and started eating...
