" Hey, you okay honey?"

It startled me when the girl beside me poked my shoulder.

"Ahh, Huh, yeah I'm good.

You?

Do you need anything?" I asked her and looked in the same direction I was looking before.

And there I saw her.

Smiling and greeting all the people getting on the Ferris wheel.

My best friend.

She's really crazy,

She's sick and working here now, I really have to take her home.

"Hey! Look at me" I heard the girl beside me, so I looked at her while glancing the other way simultaneously.

"Is she the reason why you brought me here? on our first date? are you being serious right now?" she said and I saw her right brow raising after saying that.

"Ahh Yes, I mean no, I brought you here to have fun," I said and looked to my best friend again.

"Ow really? Are you sure about that??

Because we've been sitting here for hours now, and I can't even talk to you properly" she said and stood, grabbing her purse on the bench where we were sitting; near the carousel.

She's about to leave when I grab her hand.

"Look here, I'm sorry, stay here, while I grab something to drink okay?" I said and pushed her gently on the bench to sit.

She crossed her arms and looked the other way.

"What a brat!" I said to myself while walking towards where the food stands are.

I glanced at my best friend again, she was really exhausted I can tell.

Well, that girl is right, I asked her to hang out here even though I'm not really interested.

I only met her at the club the other night. I only brought her here because of my best friend. Her mom called me to bring her home. That girl is just basically a show-off.

Yeah, I'm such a dickhead for doing it, but I don't even know why I'm doing this as well.

But for some reason, I felt awful when I found out that my best friend got a boyfriend without me knowing.

We've been best friends for 24 years now...

We're basically together ever since we were born; in the same room.

We went to the same toddler school, pre-school, middle school, high school, and even now in the university.

We just know each other pretty damn well...

Or maybe it's just her who knows me well cause of the news I just found out.

Because I don't really understand her sometimes, perhaps even most of the time.

I reached one of the food stalls and started ordering.

"1 bottled water, 1 large OJ, and 2 orders of chocolate churros please," I said as I ordered the food and handed out the cash in my hand.

"Okay Sir, coming right up," The man on the stall said.

While they were preparing I glanced in the Ferris wheel direction and looked for her, but my eyes didn't see her anywhere near it.

I was about to run when I saw her stand behind the system control and press the lever down, and the Ferris wheel started moving.

My heart stopped for a beat there, I thought she collapsed or something.
