The Scarlet Witch's Daughter Part2 #16

Wanda eventually looks into your mind and realises that she was wrong to kick you out and arrest you all these years later. Are you able to forgive your mother and do you make it back to Carmen and the rest of team red? 

Maybe thirty minutes passed and I continued to stare at the clock above the door of the room even though it made time go even slower. What is taking them so long? Why hasn't anyone come to get me out of here. I've heard from Carmen that Vile can take people out of custody without raising any suspicion for their own personal gain and I didn't want to be the next one they took. I just hope the Avengers Compound is one place they wouldn't dare break into.

The next person to enter the room is my mother. Her facial expression isn't as cold and angry as it was the first time, she saw me in New Orleans. In fact, I thought I saw a sad expression on her face but it only lasted a few seconds before her face hardened again. "Steve told me what you told him. And I've put it off for too long but I need to look into your mind to see if you're telling me the truth. You know as well as any of your brothers that I'd only do that with permission no matter who it is." This definitely surprised me. But if this meant clearing my name with her and the other Avengers now is my chance. But what about Carmen? Will she view her the same as me when she finds out or try and capture her like everyone else? "Okay." Is all I say.

She presses her hands against both sides of my head on my temples. My eyes go wide as she enters my mind. Everything that's ever happened came rushing back. Leaving home, joining Carmen, becoming her girlfriend, every mission we ever went on. Basically, everything that ever happened right up until this point. Once she lets go, she gasps in shock. "Things just became even more complicated. Now, you've answered all my questions except one." I raise my eyebrow confused as to what she was getting at. "Do you forgive me?" I will admit, at first, I was angry at mother but when everything happened with Carmen, I actually ended up thanking her mentally for it. "Of course." She's quick to pull me into a bone crushing hug.

Eventually, she breaks the hug and says, "Now that that's settled, shall we go home?" "I... I can't." "Why not?" She says with a smile but still confused. "I have a life of my own. I have responsibilities. You saw what I do when you looked into my mind. I have to find Carmen and the others and make sure they're okay after the mission." A sigh escapes her probably knowing I am going to keep refusing to go back home. "Okay. Do you have a base of operation?" "We do in San Diego." "I can take you there through a portal to save you flying there. It's the least I can do... and just so you know, I'll keep doing whatever it takes to make it up to you." I smile in response as nothing needed to be said at this.

Mother opens a portal the location where HQ is and we walk through. "I thought you were just opening it to let me go through. Didn't realise you were coming too." I told her. "It's best to clear everything up with your friends. Plus, I do want to meet your girlfriend after all." A smirk appears after saying that. Of course, she would have seen how I met her and she'll now know what she's like around me and me around her. After walking through the portal, we both head inside HQ. "Carmen Brand Outerwear? That's your base of operations?" Mother questions. However, when we go inside, she realises it's not at all what she was expecting.

Inside, was Zack and Ivy much to my relief working on their car. "Hey guys, where's Carm?" I ask them. They both look up and smile as though relieved. "Y/n you're okay! We feared the worst when the Avengers took you. Or you should I say." Zack says pointing to mother who rolls her eyes in response. "Ignore him, he's a total goofball." I say to her. "To answer your question though, Carmen knew getting you out of the Avengers tower was impossible so all we could do was hope you'd escape or in this case, be brought back to us." Ivy says. "Okay but where is she?" I ask again. "She's in the gym getting rid of the frustration at not being able to rescue you I guess." Ivy answers. I look to my mother and she knows to wait while I go and get Carmen. Hopefully her meeting my mother goes well. Maybe I should start by telling Carmen that the Scarlet Witch is my mother. 

Ending this one here. Debating on whether to make a third and final part where Wanda meets Carmen and the others.
