Chapter 12

On the way to Kansas we stopped at Wendy's. I had an awesome salad. I 

always get a salad when I go to Wendy's. The little girls have been 

upset. They can only take so much traveling. I'm more upset at my dad 

then anything. He did this to us. In our time of sadness. He didn't 

have to do his to us!

Our ride seems to take forever. I decided to text Luke, I'm not going 

to tell him about my dad but, just give him an update. Because I have 

been gone for two days already. I got out my phone and typed him a 

message.

Zoey: hi

Luke: oh hi i haven't talked in 4ever how have u been?

Zoey: not great but fine

Luke: well i hope u feel better soon

Zoey: ill try 2 how have u been?

Luke: fine its just a little boring here:(

Zoey: ill come back soon

Luke: I hope so bye

Zoey: ok bye

I closed my phone and sighed. I should have told him. I just didn't 

feel like it. I got out a movie and put it in the portable player. I 

have never seen Remember Me but, I knew it had Robert Pattinson in it 

so it has to be good.

"Why the heck are you bawling?" my mom asked. "It's the stupid movie. 

What a horrible way to end a movie!" I said sniffling. Stupid Robert 

Pattinson why did you have to die? I asked myself. Gosh this will go in 

with all the Nicolis Sparks movies. I really like the movie it just 

has the worst ending possible. I'm so mad now. I have to make myself 

stop crying. I calmed myself down and watch the bonus features. You 

know what the director said? No of course you don't. He said that he 

wanted everyone to fall in love with the characters and then let them 

know what it feels like to get them ripped from you. Ugh I officaly 

hate that director.

{Luke's POV} (A/N: please tell me what you think!)

Ever since Zoey left there has been nothing to do. I play video games 

and watch movies but, the are not as fun as they used to be. I got out 

my phone and scrolled down the list. That was stupid because everyone 

I know is back in Illinois. One name caught my eye, Amy. She is one of 

Zoey's friends I think. I started to text her.

Luke: hey you want to hang out?

Amy: sure that would be cool! I'll be there in five minutes

Luke: how can you get here that fast?

Amy: my cosin lives on the second floor:) silly

Luke: okay see you then

I put my phone up and went to sit on the couch. Soon she was here. I 

stood up and got the door. She stood there with a huge smile on her 

face. I smiled back and went back over to the couch. "So what do you 

want to do?" I asked. "I want to watch a movie" she said. "Okay" I 

said. To be honest I was getting tired of movies but, it's not like I 

have anything better to do. I got out some food while she was getting 

a movie. I saw the sour straws in the corner of the cabinet and I 

smiled. They remind me of Zoey. I go. Out some pringals and so other 

random stuff and sat down on the couch. Amy was already sitting down 

and the movie was already put in. Wow, I take forever. "We are going 

to watch When in Rome" she says proudly. I gave her a look but, you 

can tell that, that was the movie we are going to watch.

The movie was alright... I guess. I was leaning over for the pringals 

when Amy grabed my face and kissed me smack on the lips. I stiffened 

and then relaxed into the kiss. I kissed back and she was a really 

good kisser. It made me think of Zoey. Oh my goodness... Zoey. I 

quickly pulled away and was meeted with a sly grin on Amy's face.

What have I gotten myself into?
